Her parents were nobles
She was a young girl born with a special condition
She had an eye, it was grey, unlike her one blue eye, and this grey eye was a magic eye that turned people to stone
Luckily this girl's eye did not affect anyone related to her
Everyone around her was related to her, people who took care of her, people who fed her, people who taught her, they were all related to her. So of course no one realized the secret properties of her gray eye.
Of course when she was of age, she was to find a man to court her
Her family arranged young men from other Noble families in one room, where they would meet the young noble girl & eventually the family would find her a proper suitor.
Of course not all went as planned.
For the first time, someone other than her family have finally realized the deadly powers of her gray eye. A few men turned to stone, after looking the girl in the eye. Luckily some men had the sense to go running out.
Rumors spread like wildfire, & of course the Noble family never found a suitor for the young girl. They didn't dare try to get help from doctors, for the girl's eye would just unwillingly turn them into petrified stone. Then the rumors would just be confirmed
One day, the Noble family, the young girl's parents convinced a young man, of Noble blood, to visit, to court their daughter. The parents were ecstatic.
The young girl, who felt guilty & was depressed, put a band-aid, a large band-aid over her gray eye, she then covered the band aid with her hair, covering half of her face.
Later that day she met the Young Man of Noble blood.
This man seemed less shallow, & outgoing, & had a bright face & blonde hair.
The Noble Girl, & the Noble Boy got to know each other, & that's when he started courting her. They went out to fancy restaurants & places the young noble girl have never dreamed of going, great places where the sunset was magical, & the breeze soothed you.
Finally one day, when the Noble girl was visiting the Noble boy's house, they were leaning against a balcony looking out at the pitch black sky illuminated with stars.
"How long do you plan to keep hiding that?" He asked the Noble girl as he swept her hair to the side. "Y-You knew this whole time? Did you hear the rumors too?" The girl asked, her face pink blushing. The boy nodded & she blushed red. "And...You STILL hung out with me?" The boy nodded again "It doesn't matter to me, rumors are rumors, and even if they are true does it really matter?" He said look at the girl now, watching as her tears flowed down her cheeks, even from under her band aid. The salt in her tears slowly messed with the glue on the band aid that made it stick, & it immediately fell off. Her eye was exposed, & before she realized it, it was slowly petrifying her lover. When she finally realized it, she had more tears flowing down her cheeks
