History: Bella's life is a very sad story. Her mother was brutally raped by a masked man and conceived a child, Bella. This tragic event turned her mother insane. She desperately wanted to abort the unwanted child or throw herself down a flight of stairs but she just couldn't bring herself to kill the unborn baby. Instead, her mother fled from civilization, fearful of being ridiculed and lived in a small cottage miles and miles from any civilization. When she gave birth to Bella, the first thing she saw was the baby's fire red hair. She believed thoroughly then that the man who had raped her was the devil, and this child, was his offspring. Before even cleaning the babe off, the mother ran for a kitchen knife and hovered if over the defenseless infant. She couldn't harm the child. With tears of frustration in her eyes, she threw the blade aside and lifted up the child. "I will name you Jezebel after the evil wife of King Ahab. Perhaps you too will be eaten by dogs." She then cleaned the child and hid her away in the basement of the cottage. There she cared for Bella but never allowed her to leave. As she got older and more able, her mother chained her up like an animal, only seeing her to clean, feed, or water her. Bella was constantly beaten as her mother's hate grew with each passing day. Finally, on Bella's seventeenth birthday, her mother came down to bathe her. She'd forgotten to close the door. The second her mother took her chains off she bolted for it, desperate for freedom. Her mother caught her and there was a brawl. Bella overcame the woman, and managed to kill her mother. Fearful of what would come; she fled the cottage and went out into the real world. The young woman knew nothing of the outside world and it confused her, and even frightened her. She couldn't speak much English, only knowing the words she'd heard her mother say on short visits. These included her name, the meaning, and a long line of curses.
Personality: Though her name is Jezebel, she prefers to be called Bella. She is timid and fearful of almost everything. She only knows a few words so she prefers to stay quiet and listens to others speak. She has a very gentle nature and wouldn't hurt a fly. However, she is forced to steal and pickpocket to stay alive. This is understandable since she has no means of making money. She can be curious at times and it tends to get her into trouble. Though she is a little slow with speech, people can tell that she's not mentally challenged.
Appearance: Bella communicates more with her body than with words. She can be very expressive. She has beautiful features and a thin frame. However, her body is covered in scars from being beaten. The most obvious ones are the rings around her wrists and ankles from her shackles. She has long crimson hair and soft fair skin. Her eyes are hazel, though closer to brown than green. Bella wears a simple white dress. She appears small, and almost childlike around other adults.
ATTENTION: I don't usually put a character's history on their profile simply because I believe that the character should be able to express him/herself without it. However, since Bella cannot speak, it'd be hard to know her history and it's quite a juicy one! Ha! Anyways, I don't want ANYONE to read her history then have their rpc be physic or something and suddenly know everything about her. She's supposed to be mysterious!
