Some view the dark as a scary place,
A place where monsters and demons come alive,
But I see it differently,
I see the dark as a place to relax,
As a place to acquire fresh inspiration,
A place to be alone,
A place to think,
A place where appearances don’t matter because no one can see,
A place where others see you as yourself,
As the person you are inside.
There is no way to impress others with money and beauty,
This is a place for those like me to hide from reality,
This is a place where you can be who you want to be,
A place unlike any other,
This place is the dark.
So don’t be afraid of what you can’t see,
But be joyful for the qualities best brought out by the dark.
