Okay, Minato, I'll cut you some slack. Part of it is definitely denial (because I don't want to hate you) but you're seriously lacking in the parenthood department. That kind of thinking is sooo old-fashioned!

Then again, it makes sense that you'd be like that. You're supposed to be the best ever produced in the old days, so it makes sense that your mentality would fall in line with all those old views, where only the mother could raise a child and the father is just there in a semi-absent way to make sure catastrophe doesn't strike. I still don't like it, but I'll live with it.

"We're a family... of shinobi!" I really liked that line. It shows you really can't teach an old dog new tricks and, even though you're only 22-24 and capable of recognising that the shinobi system is irreparably flawed, Minato, you're just too submersed in that old world of war and hate to be able to actually change anything.

You could never be the child of prophecy. Maybe if you had had more time, you would have made some improvements, but they would have never been enough to break the "cycle of hate" and replace the shinobi system with anything else.

You would always do "whatever it takes" and never look back, wouldn't you?...
