Her Story:
Kumiko does not know her real parents nor her actual name. She was adopted into the Kikkawa clan. Her current name was given to her by her kind and warm-hearted father, Kikkawa Yusuke, chief of the Kikkawa Clan. Despite not being blood-related, her father raised her as if she was his own. However, their time together had been short-lived, as their village was suddenly attacked two years later by an unknown army, lead by a stranger with a large ferocious beast. She somehow, along with her canine companion, survived...awoken to the flaming village she once called home. Drowned in confusion and despair, she wondered off away from the village, frightened that the attackers may come. Later she was found and raised by a swordsman who lives alone in a cottage. Traumatized by the incident, she rarely spoke with the man, but all the same stayed with him.
One day she spotted him training with his katana, and took interest in it. After a few objections, the swordsman agreed to train her as well. So she trained along with him, until the age of 19 when she decided to travel to find that strange man standing in front of her burning home, with a giant beast...which the image was burned into her memories from the assault on her village. Her faithful companion is always by her side.
