It wasn't long before their destination was in sight. The red palace was massive in size. Tear upon year was put on top of the other. The rooves were obviously Asian inspired; it was the perfect Japanese palace. The boy watched smugly as the other four looked at his home with awe.
"This place looks amazing!" Ari gasped. The boy chuckled smugly.
"Of course it's amazing; nothing less for the royal family. Oh and when we enter, commoners are to leave their shoes outside. Do not speak to anyone unless spoken to. Is that clear?" They all nodded their heads mindlessly.
"Who are you anyway? What connection to the royal palace do you have?" Tomoyo was extremely annoyed with his attitude.
"I am one of the three youngest princes here. My name is Kei. A beautiful name is itnot?" Kei sighed to himself as if it was all he could do to stop swooning over himself. Shei leaned over close to Ayu's ear.
"Is this guy gay?" he whispered. Ayu stifled her laugh.
"No, probably just vain," she whispered back. Shei looked at Kei's traditional kimono.
"Gay!" he whispered as he withdrew. Ayu shook her head and looked straight ahead. After taking off their shoes expect for Kei, they stepped inside the palace. It was even more beautiful inside. Red and gold walls were a back drop to religious statues, nature paintings and numerous drawings of dragons.
"Kei you're home! Mother is quite angry with you! You went out without telling us!" The one who spoke had Kei's exact features.Kei rolled his eyes.
"Oh be quiet Ken. I don't care what mother thinks. Even I have to get away sometimes. And I was only in the backyard, no further. " Ken looked back at the foursome.
"Who are they might I ask?" His eyes locked on th Ari. She was extremely beautiful to him. Kei looked over shoulder.
"These four are lost foreigners; I've taken them into my care for now. Tell the maids to run hot baths and bring clothes for them. " As Ken left to do so, Kei turned to the others. " Do you think you will need somewhere to sleep tonight? We have extra bedding, but you'll have to leave the next morning."
They all looked at each other and agreed. "We'll definetly need it, thank you." Ari said, bowing her head. For some reason, Kei found his cheeks getting red.
"N-no matter. I do this on a regular basis. No charity is tosmall for me!!" And with that he left them to the maids approaching.
"Would the young ladies follow me to the bathing area?" The maid said to them. A male servent motioned Shei to follow him in the other direction. They seperated and soon they were clean fully dressed in the attire of that time.
Not long after food was placed before them; a grand banquet. In minutes it was completely devoured. Kei was almost completely appalled by their eating habits.
"Well, then...shall I finally know your names?"
Ayu answered," My name is Ayu, the guy next to me is Shei." Ari also spoke.
"My name is Ari, and this is my friend,Tomoyo." Kei's eyes suddenly widened.
"You four....couldn't possibly be....the ones of the proficy..." Shei rolled his eyes.
"Not another 'proficiey' ! "
"I'm glad you four have gotten to eat- I have a long story to tell."
