I just realized I never told you guys about my Ringo Starr concert. rolleyes
Okay well all you need to know is that in the morning, I hung out with G and Michael ALL MORNING, and Michael claimed me as his best swim buddy. And of course, I made first place in everything I swam. rolleyes
Then we went to Stone Mountain and rode the sky ride. It was fun. And we walked on top and went on a train ride and I saw someone who looks just like my friend Will. ANd they played the same songs over and over again on the train.
Then we went to the hotel and ate at Chops and it was a good restaurant, cept my dad wasn't in dress code and we had to eat in the back. It was damn expensive. I had crab cakes.
So then we rode in a hummer limo to the concert and we got dropped off in front.
We had right box seats (really close to the stage), and Ringo came on and I was like:
skdljf;alskdj;flkajs;dlkfjaskdjf;lkasdjlkfja;slkdjfasdkfj gonk heart
Then so when he came on, I waved my poster to show him, and he flashed me a peace sign. heart
He pointed at me a lot and stuff. 4laugh
Then so I sang ever word, and get this, I was the only person dancing in the whole damned venue. Ringo really liked how I was getting into what was being played. 4laugh Unfortunately, the people behind us didn't find my standing up the whole time satisfying. It was a damn little boy, and he was playing a gameboy. I don't give a s**t if he couldn't see. He could have stood up. stare
Then, just before Act Naturally, he said "You know guys, I love my Atlanta fans!" and then I screamed or something (I don't quite remember) and he looks up at me and points and says "Especially that girl in the pink!" And of course, I was in pink.
I almost lost consciousness then and there.
We rode back in the hummer limo and slept in the hotel.
Wonderful, wonderful night!
Needless to say, he paid more attention to me than Pauly did. xd
And I've been thinking. I wasn't born in the wrong generation. Back in the sixties, if I were to go to a Beatles concert, my mom couldn't snatch up the tickets on some website. And if I did get to the rail, The Beatles themselves would have not even paid the slightest bit of attention to me. You know? If they were to look at a specific girl, who knows what could have happened. Now that we're in the 21st century, they pay attention to you. They talk to you, and they laugh and point and smile at you. They call you out. It's amazing, and I'm VERY happy to have been born in this generation. And now, we don't JUST have The Beatles to listen to. We have a very good many bands these days to listen to. Every year there is a new GREAT band, and you all know it.
Btw: As of today's news, I'm timing at Eastern Zone Southern GA sectionals for swimming. There's some GREAT swimmers there. And I'm special because I have all access in the Ramsey center. 4laugh Though, they don't bother to feed us. It's actually fun, and I'm beginning to bond with a few of the kids on my swim team. Especially Andrew, Hannah, and Lane. They're nice. 3nodding
AND I KNOW I KNOW I'VE BEEN SPELLING PAULY WRONG OKAY I JUST WATCHED THE MOVIE AND IT CORRECTED ME. scream
