Deserted
By Darius Daniel
As I lay down on this battlefield, thinking as this is to real.
Bleeding the liquid of life,
an agonizing strike. Armor blacking and burned, the tide has turned.
What is to learn? Nothing but that of the meaningless fight.
A blanket of darkness breaks the light, ending my line of sight.
Rain clouds roll it as if on strike, like tanks on the road.
Yet death is cold, nothing is said because nothing is told.
Rain begins to pour, washing away the remains of the gore.
Sickening to the core, is this sight.
A broken body lay dying, as the clouds begin crying.
Left alone to die, but everything is fine.
As darkness envelopes around him, taking him away from a pain ever so grim.
Eyes white with death, nothing is left.
But a broken soul, taken from a world ever so cold.
Nothing to be told.
But no one knows, because he is just one soul…
