Years ago, Serene was living peacefully with her Mother, Father and Aunt. Playing in the wide green fields, and waiting for her mother to call her name for dinner. Life was simple for the four of them. Serene's mother was sweet and gentle, while her father was strict and straight,but Serene still knew he loved her mother as much as she does. and her Aunt loved her younger sister's family so much.

Little did young Serene knew, the dark past her mother and father kept. And then, one night the unexpected happened. Her father was hunted down by Shinigami, for he was a Demon, A kishin. Leaving their once a peaceful home into a raging inferno. Fire crept quickly into young Serene's room while she was sleeping deeply. Her Mother, came rushing to her room and grab hold of her dear daughter. She ran out of the room, down the stairs and stopped by the living room.

She saw how Shinigami reaped her husband's soul. She kneeled into the floor -shocked, with puddles of black blood.

Shinigami looked at her face and grew sad for, he gave pity to her.
" So you did came back..." she said while weeping.
Heat and Sadness came around the three of them. Serene opened her eyes and found her mother's crying face.
" M-mama? What's w-wrong?...you seem... "
" Serene-chan..."
Serene's mother didn't know how can she explain everything to her poor daughter and she knew her time was running out.
" Listen, Serene, promise me that you'll be a good girl when Mama and Papa aren't around... Okay? " she said while tears rolled down from her eyes.
" But Mama I-"
" Just promise me..."
Serene was puzzled. She didn't know how to react or to think.
" Alright, mama..."
" Good girl." Her mother said as she kissed Serene's forehead.
" Please, just take good care of yourself and remember all the things that I have taught you, hm?"
" Mhm..." Serene nodded.
Her mother gave a sweet smile once again and faced Shinigami.

Serene didn't see Shinigami for it was not yet time. And then, a great light came and dazzled Serene's eyes. She didn't see anything for it was too bright.

" Please, find anyone who survived in the fire, Anyone! "
" Ma'am we found a young girl in the middle of the living room and she seems to be fine.She's just unconscious for now. " The fireman said and gave Serene to her Aunt.
" Thank You,sir! Um... did you find my sister and her husband? "
" We're sorry Ma'am, but it's impossible for someone to survive in the fire at this time. The fire engulfed the second floor, the kitchen and the dining area..."
" Do you mean they're both dead?! Don't be sure just yet! "
" But ma'am- "
" Stop it! Just keep searching! Please! "

" Oh, Serene..." Serene's Aunt said as she held her body tightly.
" I can't believe this is all happening..."

Dark smoke flew out from their house, and only the two of them were left. Everything happened so fast. That night changed young Serene's life.

Years past, at the age of 15, Serene grew into a beautiful young lady.

Growing up in the hands of her Aunt. Serene tries her best to accept what the world has done to her life while she was young.
