"The sounds of sirens are flooding the streets tonight,
Yet we are all still willing to commit the crimes.
Should we expect no consequence?
Maybe our lies will pass the test."

The morning sun flooded into Maria's room, shining into the girl's big room. Well, it was the attic technically, but she called it as her room! Her parents didn't mind.. plus it got her away from her old room. Which just so happened to be right across the hall from his room. She opened her eyes and sighed, staring up at the ceiling. 'Carson.. why did you have to leave me? Why didn't you just let the car hit me..'
With a groan, she sat up in her bed and looked out the window. It was sunny and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. She smiled and rubbed her eyes, trying to wake up fully. She didn't have to worry about that because her alarm went off, loud rock music blasting through the small device. She jumped at the sound of it and quickly unplugged the clock. "Maria! Get up and get ready. We're leaving and there's no way you're going to be left home alone," her father yelled as she took off her pajamas. She made a face at the door and mocked him under her breath as she pulled on a pair of short shorts and a white tank top with her neko ear, striped jacket over.

"Eyes closed hands tied behind our backs,
We try to cover up our deepest secrets and lies.
But we both know we are suspects to the crime,
And running won't solve our problems this time."
