An attachment; like the moon to its stars a sun to its planets the grass growing in its ground an attachment; a woman to a man, or perhaps a girl to her boy, because forever young we will stay in each other's eyes. The sparkle won't ever fade, not for us. You brighten up my world like 1,000 fireflies, like celebrating a Fourth of July, you always light up my sky. Arms wrapped around me like a blanket, undeniable safety and structure the content feeling of routine. You are the air that saves me, & oh how I breathe you in so thankfully. The world is cold and gray when you're gone, but still, I smile on - because it's only going to be so long- before we reconnect ourselves again. Like the plug and it's outlet - combine us and feel the sparks. Feel the electricity within us. But, set us apart and it's gone - just an empty, lifeless pair. Oh, my love, the seperation can be so unfair. An attachment; it was love from the start, even with our lives miles apart. A attachment; just like a heart to its key - and just like jack to his sally - we're simply meant to be.
