January 14 (two days before execution, one day before escape)
I woke up to find Garrison's cell door hanging from its hinges. The big guy lay still on the linoleum floor with a puddle of blood beneath him. The guards announced him dead at the scene. The cause was being beaten to death. They didn't find any trace of Garrison. Naturally.
I chuckled to myself thinking that he was planning our escape route. I thought about Shensé, wondering if he had gone completely berserk. I laughed. A short, chubby guy who was stationed outside my cell gave me the evil eye. I was tempted to give him the finger but decided to keep my slate clean. Especially when I don't know why I'm here in the first place...
I sighed and went through the archives of my memories. It was a quiet winter night at Charlie's place. The business was rather slow... Charlie walked away from the booth with my order. I sunk back into the seat and took out a legal pad. I always had some paper and a pen around. You never know when inspiration will hit you. I tapped the pen in a simple rhythm, waiting for something to happen. I came alone this time. Even though Garr and Shensé was the closet thing I had to family I was getting pretty tired of their company. I sighed and took in the environment even though I knew every inch of this place. Charlie came back with a glass of milk and a BLT. "Let me know if you need anything else kid," I nodded and he whistled as he walked away. I took a slow sip of milk and started to dissect the sandwich. I don't know why I ordered something I would never eat in any of my lifetimes. Then something caught my attention. A man wearing all black with a hood drawn that covered his eyes. He strolled over to my booth and sat across from me. "Long time no see, Fallen,"
