* It strikes me as sad that so many people died at the battle of Assaye, that more than 200 years later, they still did up bones on the site.
* Y'all have probably all heard my "Why my Family Doesn't Celebrate st. Patrick's day" thing, so I'm leaving it out this year.
* Eric Foner was on Colbert! He's an incredibly important reconstruction scholar and all around brilliant historian.
