This world cold and lonely
is a home called Michigan
Here a soul rests silently waiting for nothing to appear
Searching with blind eyes to find exactly whats been missing
From a life of solid exile
Barely socialable this young soul has nothing left to lose
How can a little withered soul possibly belong?
In a world she can't get, to understand what it was all about
She searches stupidly knowing the consquences but still looking forward
Sadness her only friend
Why was it her she wondered that filled his eyes with such joy
She was only a plain little girl at best yet he looked at her with interest
Did she truly belong?
Yet she felt compelled to answer with a no
She felt he deserved better than this sad little thing called a soul
But couldn't bring herself to let him free fore she loved him
It would hurt anyways...
With a heavy heart a little soul will wander til she is found once more
Perhaps with a feeling of little less than regret at the mistake she had made
Coming to this cold and lonely place called Michigan...
