It had been a good fifty years after transformation into a full fledged Vampire for the young and ever calm Maya Lee Anna Marie Crespley, but it had also been quite a bit of time since she had seen her father, Larten crespley, he and her mother concieved her before he vanished.
Sitting in her normal seat at a tavern she went over her memories, no one had taken her under their wing as an apprentice being that she was so young when she first transformed, so she learned everything she could on her own.
A sigh escaped her lips, caught in the hearing of a tall thin man that sat not two booths away with a dark haired boy. the man was cloaked in red and his hair was a vivid bright orange/red.
A notion of familiarity was stuck in Maya's mind when she saw the man, and he clearly smelled of Vampire, and the boy with him as well.
"Hmm........another vampire so far from the mountain when the festivals are bound to start?" the man asked, even his voice sounded familiar.
The two turned and locked eyes, her eyes matched his, but her hair was a soft brown with elegant slicked back curls in it. a matching scar streaked down her face.
Maya's eyes widened slightly in shock, he was SO familiar it hurt her head trying to figure out who the devil this man was!
There were another four Vampires in this tavern, but that was because this was a hidden trail used to get to the familiar Vampire Mountain. Larten's eyes went wide. this girl resembled that past lover of his, the one from before he was transformed into a vampire.
But the blasted thing was, he couldn't remember her name. Trying to keep his calm, Larten stated a simple, "Well?"
The girl snapped into realization, "Oh, umm.... I came here on my way to the mountain, is that your apprentice?" she asked, motioning towards Darren, Larten's apprentice.
"Of course, why else would he be with me" Larten chuckled.
"Hey!" Darren cried.
"Oh hush" Larten laughed back at him. "Now, what is your name?"
"It's common courtesy for the male to introduce himself first"
"We are among friends right?"
"Oh, fine, I am Maya Lee Anna Marie-" she started but was cut off by Larten's gasp.
"Crepsley"
"Yes how did you know?"
"I am Larten Crepsley, your father" he whispered to her. a shocked and amazed silence filled the air. Maya had figured out who he was, and he had figured who she was.
The thing was, now they had to get past the awkward silence. Darren was in a confuse matter, the two vampires in front of him were his problem. All because the silence, Darren opens his mouth to broke the silence.
"Excuse me, would you explain what happen here? I think we're getting in an confuse conversation here,"
Maya and larten turn to Darren and laughed.
"I'm sorry." Larten croaked, he was holding back his shock.
Larten grabs Maya's shoulder and said to Darren.
"This... is my long-lost daughter, Maya."
"Wha-!!!" Darren yelp. When he looks at both of the vampires, Darren found a few similar faces on her and Crepsley.
Darren mumbles and scrathces his head. Maya just smile and look at Larten with bright hope to see his father again."Shall we set off Darren, and i hope you don't mind it that Maya will be joining us" Larten chortled with a small grin, his shock was well hidden.
Darren snapped from his confused shock, "Huh? Oh! Umm....sure" he muttered, standing up from the booth.
Maya stood as well, followed by her father, "heading to the festival?" she asked with a grin.
"where else would we go so close to Vampire Mountain?"
"well, i was just curious" she mumbled under her breath as Larten turned and started to walk from the tavern.
Maya shook her head, "Just like how mother described him" she whispered before following close behind Darren and the infamous Mr. Crepsley.Darren in his thought was suspicious about Maya, since his mind a bit not sure to believe whether she WAS Larten's daughter. Darren sometimed look at Maya with the cornewr of his eyes. Maya was smiling while watching how Larten and Darren were together.Following the two out the door, Maya watched the two walk, side by side. almost like father and son.
it made her a bit jealous actually, the fact that her fther had taken someone else under his wing.Despite the confusion and curious about Mr Crepsley's daughter... Darren keep having a feeling like Maya has been sneering him from behind. He turn around and look, Maya notice Darren was looking at her and smile sweetly...,but on the inside Maya felt like she was abandoned by her father, she felt like he just took care of her for only three years then just erased her from his memory, she felt..alone and unwanted. As she was looking at Crepsley and Darren she wondered, why? why would my own father do this to me?, so she decided to ask. "So DAD..why were you gone to leave me and mom alone?" Maya asked.
