Have you ever once told the truth in your life?
The pounding rain does not deafen the sound of the bells They toll, as if to bring awareness of a death or a happy union They toll only to me None other than I can hear them
Do you hear the bells? They seem to be ringing loudly today
A dark shadow loams over my head It has always been there Waiting for me to fall The shadow that has watched me take the burdens of the world That has watched me live a life in its grasp My life has been within this shadow
The burdens I have taken Could they have been so heavy to make my spin curve under their weight?
The faces of the victims I could not have saved Could they have been the reason why I cannot sleep?
The bitter taste of not knowing friendship, not being able to save every innocent, and being accused of wrong when trying to do right Could that be the reason why every bitter bite I take must be coated with something sweet?
Have you ever once told the truth in your life?
Goodbye
