“I think she needs to be tested.” a voice called from high on the sea, Auhber knew it well enough to be her goddess and she listened, only a few minutes earlier she had drifted to sleep and come to this place, then she came upon the arguing voices of other people, “Oracle, I want you to spin up a tale of love.” the voice was commanding and feminine yet still rough. “At an Inn, the inn of magic as you would call it, we find a girl, and a man. They are in silent love, and this girl will become a woman to her friends just as she has always been for him.”
Elliot hated waking up before the sun went down, he was hungry and wanted to eat, he focused every fiber of his being on not trying to eat himself, or the small figure who was beside him. She was so warm, and she smelled so… No. Elliot focused on why she would be here, asleep with him in his coffin. He was glad, that Isabel and the others were going on a month long excursion and he had offered to inn sit, three others were staying and they all knew. Madlax, Kita and Saizu would all be at the inn, Madlax had promised to make herself scarce in the woods with Saizu as the two practiced all sorts of mischief, and Kita, would hopefully be by his side.
Only a few hours later Elliot had reawaken to find that Kita was gone, she had probably woken while he slept and run off to interrupt Madlax and Jack’s last well, you know what, or hang on Isabel’s leg like she had a few days ago. Elliot laughed at the memory, it had been one of the best nights at Toro Toro since the summer had begun he hoped for many more.
After rousing himself and dressing, Elliot walked into the main area of the inn and laughed at what he saw, Isabel was bright red, Madlax’s Kimono was ripped open and Jack wasn’t wearing a shirt, the storage closet door was open, on the counter were the makings of food, bread of some sort. Madlax handed Isabel the yeast and she and Jack disappeared. Elliot laughed and walked right into Kita, who was headed towards Madlax and Jack’s room, “Sorry.” he said flashing her hidden smile, Kita’s hand passed his and all that was left, was a small piece of paper. He opened it minutes later when no one was watching. “East side of the lake 5min.” was scrawled in pink gel pen. Elliot slipped out of the inn, and into the woods. Kita stood facing the lake, Elliot reached out and touched the skin of her back. Kita didn’t jump, she shivered lightly to the cool touch of his hand and turned around.
“Elliot!” She whisper yelled turning around, their mouth’s met and their bodies molded together forming a picture of ideal romance. Only when Elliot felt Kita’s heart speed to an alarming pace did he pull away. looking at her face made him feel jubilant, for even shrouded in darkness it was clear to tell the effect that the kiss had left on her. Abruptly she pulled away from his grasp and turned towards the pond, if it was from embarrassment or just light headedness, Elliot did not enjoy her feeling like this after their kiss. “Kita love what have I done that is in the wrong?” he asked walking to her and placing his hands on her shoulder’s. “Elliot, It’s not right. You can’t just kiss me like that, I wasn’t ready and I…” she trailed off but, for the most part, Elliot understood or at least thought he did. “I am truly sorry.” he said quietly feeling a bit uncomfortable. Kita turned around brusquely, she began to say something but, her balance was off and the rocks were slippery, so she fell into the pond. Elliot saw this begin to happen; he dove for her and wrapped his arms around her as they impacted with the shallow water and sharp rocks. He made sure that Kita was on top so the whole impact force added into the sharp ripping feeling of his back hitting the rocks. The water was just high enough to come up to Elliot’s knees so both of them were completely drenched, Elliot was slightly wounded and Kita was in shock. “Elliot!” she cried but became silent when Elliot began to laugh. Kita looked at him, sitting in the dirty pond water completely drenched and laughed also. They looked hilarious and neither of them were afraid to admit it.
After the laughing fits had subsided, Kita forced Elliot to take off his shirt so she could see the damage, all that was left to show their endeavor was a few pink lines on his back. Elliot felt her finger trace the lines making jolts of electricity travel up his spine. He turned around and playfully pushed Kita on her back with him in all fours above her. His face was near her ear, “I love you.” he said and kissed her neck. Kita worked on untying his hair from the thick braid, she was triumphant as Elliot could feel his long hair around his shoulders. Elliot continued to move up towards Kita’s mouth, pausing slightly on her collar bone and biting it lightly, Elliot could hear and feel Kita’s excitement, happiness, and fierce feelings of want.
“I’m SURE YOU DIDN’T SEE KITA AND ELLIOT OVER HERE!” Madlax said loudly, Elliot pulled away from Kita and growled slightly. Isabel’s concerned voice echoed through the air, “I’m sure I saw them head this way, what if Kita slipped and fell!” Elliot quickly grabbed his shirt and set the wet ripped fabric on Kita’s shoulders, then he lifted her up and climbed up the side of the pond coming closely behind Isabel, Madlax kept her looking in the other direction as Elliot and Kita made their escape.
After returning Kita to her room, Elliot realized that he still hadn’t fed. The aching pain in his stomach was practically unbearable, so he disappeared to feed.
Meanwhile, Shaw sat on a throne made of night. The children of Nir circled around him their hands outstretched touching his face and arms. “Call off your arms” he said as a woman, more creature than human appeared. Her skin was swirls of ivory with spots as black as night, she wore leather colored in ivory green, the exact color of a Dragon’s lifeblood. She work a cloak the color of bark with the hood covering her hair, although black bangs running from her chin to her roots did cover half of her face. Her eyes were the bright color of new grass and her moth was sewn shut. You could see lips, they were pale enough to match her ivory skin, but from the top of the top lip to the bottom of the bottom lip were three x’s sewn with silver hair, Shaw’s hair to be exact.
Her voice still echoed in his head though, “The counsel of Calling Requests you.” she said in a voice sounding like a troubled child instead of a demon woman. “Come.” she added and Shaw pulled away from the children, their hands turning to Ash and floating away. He disappeared into the drawing room glancing in the mirror as he loaded his gun. Silver long hair pulled back loosely, pale sharp face, eyes the same color as his hair, and an x mark scar on his cheek. The mark of a counsel of Calling member was an x, if you retired from council it became a scar.
He tucked the gun into his holster, through on a black overcoat covering his knees, and walked back into his throne room but, instead of reaching his throne room he was moved to The Council room. Shaw stalked in unsurprised and threw a slight look of boredom at the cloaked figures hovering around him. Shaw couldn’t see any body parts, just cloaks in multiple dark colors.
