Shikari didn't know what to expect as she ran through the forest,the branches were a blur and every now and then a leaf would brush against her face. No matter how fast or how far she ran,the clearing ahead would continue to get further and further away,all of a sudden something or someone grabbed her arm,before she had a chance to turn,a kunai went through her chest,as she fell to the forest floor,she saw his evil smirk and the glare of his glasses,all the while holding a blood covered kunai.
Shikari Kakashi awoke with a start,her heart was racing as she looked at her surroundings,slowly realizing that she was still in her bed,the book she had been reading the previous night was now lying open on the floor,she sighed and picked it up.
"That's the last time I read before bed" she thought irritably
She looked over at her clock and saw that it was five-thirty in the morning,realizing that there was no way that she would be able to go back to sleep,she pulled off her covers,grimacing slightly as her bare feet touched the cold hardwood floor. She walked over to her window and opened it,the sun was just beginning to rise,give the village of Konahagukure it's first 'daily dose of life' as her friend Naruto Uzumaki used to often say,Shikari sighed,she missed that boy so much,she had been so heartbroken the day he left with Master Jariaya in order to further his training.
She suddenly heard her name being called from down below,she looked down to see a girl with blond hair that was pulled into four pigtails,two of them being at the base of her neck,Shikari grinned,
"Hey Temari,where's your boyfriend Shikamaru at?"
Temari crossed her arms "One,he's not my boyfriend,and two,what are you doing up so early? It's a Saturday"
Shikari sighed,it was true,her "sleep in days" were always on Saturdays,but not today however,she had promised to do some work in the village for Lady Tsunade,the villages Hokage."I'm doing some work around here today,so no sleeping in for me" Shikari replied shrugging
Temari smirked "well come on then,get down here"
Shikari nodded "give me five minutes and I'll be down",and with that she shut the window.She put on the clothes that she had picked out the previous night and quickly put her hair in a ponytail,the last time she had worn it down had been a little over two years ago,she shuttered,recalling the events that had taken place.Shaking it off,she rushed downstairs,her Uncle Hatake Kakashi was sitting at the kitchen table,stacks of papers layed before him,Shikari smiled and shook her head,once a procrastinator,always a procrastinator.
"Morning "Sensei" she said
Kakashi looked up from the paper he held in his hands,his spiky gray hair was a little ruffled and he looked more tired then usual,nevertheless,he smiled.When Shikari had first come to the Village three years ago,she had been assigned to Team 7,back then it had consisted of Naruto Uzumaki,Sakura Haruno...and Sasuke Uchiha,so it came to be a shock to Kakashi when he found out that his only living relative had come to the village to search for him and was on his team!!!! now,3 years later,17 year old Shikari lived with him,and once a while she called him "Sensei",sometimes for old times sake,but mostly just out of habit.
"Morning",he replied ",there's some tea already made"
