Thinking about getting an Assassin's Creed II costume made.. Hell, this would be the first time I'd ever bought a costume instead of making it myself sweatdrop
I'm thinking about getting it from here
They are EXTREMELY nice and have very good prices.
Here's what they've quoted me for the pieces:
$700 leather belt
$350 leather boot spats
$450 leather pauldron (the leather piece the cape is attached to)
$250 suede cape
$040 brown faux suede pants in cotton (it's $70 for the actual faux suede)
$175 blouse w/ collar, lace cuffs & embroidery
$250 embroidered jerkin w/ red lining and embroidered collar
$300 doublet w/ hood, red lining & red trim
so that totals $2,515
not bad really.. she actually suggested getting the gauntlet and gloves elsewhere as she's seen them going for far less than it would cost her to make them
Here's the character btw: Ezio Auditore de Firenze
I've also found a forum that has a LOT of information on DA OTF knifes (double action - out the front knifes)
All I have to do is scale up the design and make it and I'll have myself a hidden blade that WORKS
The issue is how to activate the switch without using the other hand.
here is the site
there is also someone on youtube that used a collapsible Tai Chi sword. It looks MUCH better than the ones made from drawer slides.
I'm likely going to mix those two ideas together...
OH! Now I have an excuse to go to the Renfest! Gotta' get some accessories for it and the game does take place in 1486 (you even get to meet Leonardo Da Vinci)(sp?)
Mom never lets me go to the Renfest. Because "there's a bunch of weird-o's there that could take you and hurt you." stare
It's the same as an anime convention only bigger and is of a different subject. gonk
Alright, I'm off to look for the gauntlet and gloves and find the best prices for 'em. Ja ne!
