the song Fireflies by Owl City. It came on the radio yesterday and, since I'd never heard it before, my dad left it on.
I can understand why people would like it so much. It's a genuinely good song.
However, it would be AMAZING if it was simpler. I mean, through the roof omg. It's WAY too processed, if you know what I mean. Like the boy's voice. It's nice, but it would be SO much nicer if they didn't edit it so much. The background is way too busy and overdone. If someone did a simple cover of it, it would be AMAZING. Or even Owl City doing it in concert would probably sound better, because they won't be able to change it as much.
Anyway. The concept of the song is great, but it's way too edited.

Shrouded in black, the mysterious bird creeps to the edge of the sky. It peeps down at the world beneath its feet, shivering a little. A flutter of wings reveals a glowing orange light as it plummets to the ground below, announcing the arrival of dawn. I sit by and drink a cup of black coffee.
