What is a heart?
Humans have clung to it for life as long as I can remember
It is what gives them love
Pain
Hate
It gives them emotion
Emotion
What is emotion?
It is useless and a burden
Yet why do humans cling to emotion?
Do they not realize that it only gets in the way of battle?
Do they not realize that it is a useless piece of trash that is better forgotten?
Solitude
Lonliness
They say that is what comes out of ignoring the heart
Ignoring the emotion
That is not what comes out of ignorance of something so useless
What comes out of it is strength
What comes out is power
Death
What is death?
I have killed so many
Do they know death?
I have wounded so many
Have they seen death?
I have never seen death
Death to me is a myth
What is there to think of it?
And Yet
What is this now?
I feel myself slipping away from life
My body is going numb
I see you
I understand what the heart is
It is an extention of your spirit
It gives you a strength that I have never known
I outstretch my hand to you
You have this heart
That is why you are alive
That is why this boy saved you and killed me
If your heart was in my hand, would you die?
Instead, would you entrust me with your heart to bring it happiness?
I am certain you wouldn't trust me
Yet those eyes
Those eyes say they do
You are not afraid of me
Your heart says you are not
Your heart gives you strength
This strength that I have never know
I have never felt this strength
Yes
That heart is powerful
I know what a heart is
Now...
I know what death is
