I know you.
Almost, it seems, an extension of myself,
Flowering from the place where heart meets soul,
Silver-lined, and shimmering in your radiance.
I hide in your shadow,
Humbly feeding on the warmth of your heart.
I Know your touch as it coaxes me from slumber.
Don't you understand?
These are just half-thoughts, malformed, unbecoming.
I feel your essence, and my mind sets sail
Lightning in the sky, with love as my captain,
Your soul shines like a beacon, guiding me against the storm.
This thunder will be muffled, and these waves will subside.
Darkened skies fade, and the tumult is leveled.
Broken and bruised I wash up on your shores,
Content to be before you humbled, and a slave to you beauty.
