Well, my goodness, how time has flown,
How life ticks by, how change is shown!
We'd thought forever is how last year would last,
But now the 0' years are a thing of the past.
It's 2010! Another decade has come!
New decade, new fashions- a new stat for some.
A new notebook is given, a new pencil is sharped,
A new canvass is supplied, with the paints untarped.
A new house has been built on a shiny new lot,
A new farm has been settled, with new plants that won't rot.
This is our decade- our time to be known
To create a new world to forever be shown
To be the people we always hoped we would be
To see all the things we always hoped we would see
To write the new lyrics to the song of the Earth
To add in our share, for all we are worth.
This is where our legacy will have to begin-
With the shiny new light that is 2010.
