XXXNow, young giggling and shouting was heard. Ugh.. more children chasing each other around the store. Why do parents even bring their children to this bookstore? I understand the manager decided to stock some children books for them, but it seems unreasonable now since all they do is act...well, childish.
XXXI saw them running up and down the aisles as always. The problem is, I'm in danger now besides the other customers. I now saw them running the aisle Kyle and I were conversating on. Before I knew it, gravity brought me down, the shelves getting smaller and smaller until "Thud" and "Crack".
"Ngh!!" I winced loudly, collapsing onto my side. Everything below my thighs felt numb, but mostly my right leg in which felt shattered. As I stayed curled up, my ears picked up Kyle's shouting at the other employees to call for the hospital. All went black now.
XXXWorking happily on my job, as quitting time draws near. I occupied my mind with only thoughts of seeing Ryoichi again. Ah, how I want to see his face, to hear his voice. It's quite nice ,really. After all it is love, right?
Getting ready for the next photo shoot, as I slipped on my outerwear I suddenly heard my ring tone go off. Picking it up I looked at the caller I.D. at the front. It's Ryoichi! He never called me before, so I was really happy.
XXX"Yoshimatsu-kun, it's--" I was suddenly cut off by a familiar voice.
XXX"Juudas! It's Ryoichi-kun!" the voice suddenly shouted. Static suddenly interrupted us, and once it disappeared it left me to only hear, "--He's at the hospital, now so--" then cutted off by static once again.
With that, my eyes widened, and my heart had seemed to stop pulsing.
XXX"..." My breathing had paused, my thoughts, vanished, as time had stopped in my life. Once the message of Ryoichi, hospitalized, had reached me I felt the world around be had begun to disappear.
The sound of my cell phone, that I released from my grasp, filled the silence. Without hesitation I ran out the studio, without my scarf, without my hat nor shades. I dashed to my car, and jumped in rushing to the hospital.
God, please don't take him away too.
XXXWith the rain falling against the windshield I finally reached the hospital. I quickly locked my car, and dashed to the front desk. Slamming my hand on the counter I startled the female. "Where is Yoshimatsu, Ryoichi's room!?" I questioned her as I caught my breath. Once she had given me the information I rushed ,once again, to his room.
XXXMy vision had brightened in the all too familiar whiteness of my surroundings. What happened after I fell? I knew that feeling in my legs wasn't normal from such an impact. I saw no one before my view besides Kyle sitting beside me, greeting me from my slumber and informing me of my journey through the emergency room. Sigh... it'd been a while.
My eyes glanced down and noticed that the majority of my leg had been wrapped snug in a large white cast. It seemed to be the only thing injured.
XXXClimbing the emergency stairs to the fifth floor, I'm grateful that the devil-of-an-agent had trained me to run this much. I had finally reached the floor and reached Ryoichi's room. I quickly opened the door, letting it hit the wall. "Yoshimatsu!!!" I suddenly shouted.
XXXMy ear drums rang from the loud, yet familiar voice filling the room. I flinched as I then turned my head to see who it was standing in the doorway. Figures. It seemed Juudas' loud voice scared the crap out of Kyle though. Heh. "Ah, Juudas-san." I managed to sit up on my own while keeping my foot elevated still.
XXXI stood there, staring at him quietly. "..." I slowly moved towards him and gradually increased my speed. I got to my knees and embraced him with tears rolling down my cheek.
XXXMy lungs released a small gasp as I felt my current lover embracing my frail body compared to his. Then, something warm and wet began dropping onto my lap. "Juudas-...san?"
XXX"..." I continued to weep silently on his shoulder, relieved to have found Yoshimatsu alive with only a broken leg. My tears seem to be endless, its been so long since I've last have shed a drop of tear.
XXX"..." Was this part of Juudas I still didn't understand? Vulnerable, sad, and cold? For now, all I did was allow Juudas was to become comfortable with me on my hospital bed, leaning back against the wall as I stroked the back of his head. "I'm still here, Juudas-san," I said softly. "I'm not going to leave you."
XXXI held onto him tighter and whispered quietly, to where only he could hear as I took in small amount of breath in between. "I was terrified... that God were to take you from me. That I would lose another precious being in my life, like how he had taken her from me."
XXXMy voice was taken back by what he had said to me in between breaths. Someone precious to Juudas, before he met me, died...? I didn't want to think about this now. I would just... ask him later about it. Calming him down was my only priority right now. "Shh..."
'Her'? What? "It was only a small incident at work. It's nothing to worry about." I could feel Kyle's eyes on us.
XXX"That's actually right," Kyle had said, agreeing with me. "Ryoichi gets sent to the hospital for these kinds of things atleast once every few months."
XXXI quickly regained my composure and released him. "Eh? Why?" I said quickly wiping my tears away.
XXX"These damn children knocked me off the ladder I was standing on when they ran into it." I said in a spiteful tone. "They don't belong in a bookstore."
XXX"Eh..." I smiled at the both of them, and continued speaking "they were just kids. They don't know better."
XXXI pouted. "It's enough for them to injure me this much. I still dislike them."
XXXI reached over to him and patted his head. "It's okay." I stood up and spoke again. "I'm going to make a call to Kanako-san"
XXX"..." My face became warm from his pat to my head. One of the things I disliked most was being treated like a child.
XXXI walked out the room and headed towards the elevator. As I leaned on the wall, I covered my face with my hand feeling ill. Just knowing that I had to go to the hospital makes me dizzy.
The hospital... where life begins and ends. As the elevator doors open I reverted to my outer self and went down to the first floor.
XXXI allowed myself to lay back down on the bed, resting my head against the pillow. Kyle looked at me with an observing look. "...What?"
XXX"Ehehe... nothing." he told me with his usual dumb smile.
My mind kept boggling around in search for the right answer I wanted to hear of Juudas' "precious being." I felt a slight uncomfortable feeling in my stomach as I laid there. Was this jealousy?
XXXAfter the call, I entered the room. "Kanako-san said that I could finish my work later, for now I'm taking you into my home momentarily. To watch over you." I smiled at him.
XXXI was currently positioned on my side a little, my foot still leveled upon a brace. I made a face. "Why?" Of course Juudas would want to take care of me but... I still can't trust him sometimes since now I'm so vulnerable.
XXXAh the expression on his face, I easily read it and replied to him, "Ah, don't worry I won't make any advances on you." I slightly smiled, "I just want to watch over you." Partly true... I just don't want to come here.
XXXJuudas was still hiding something. I just didn't want to ask of him with Kyle present in the room. I simply nodded and my gaze went to the floor now. My head felt like it weighed more than my body. "I'm still a little... dizzy."
XXX"Ah then rest some more. I'll head back to work. I'll pick you up later."
XXXNo... not yet. "W-wait..."I reached my hand out to him. Kyle looked to me with confusion and surprise.
XXXI looked at him as I stopped, "What is it?" I questioned him with a smile.
XXXWell, since I asked him to stop, I may as well give him a show. I gave him my most pleading face, even though I would surely be embarrassed about it afterward. "..."
XXXI blushed a tiny bit, "A,ahem... Kyle-kun, could you step out for a bit?"
XXX"Ahaha," Kyle chuckled. "Sure. I'll be sure to close the door on the way." He stood and did what he was told, walking out of the room and closing the door as he promised.
XXX"Okay, what is it?" I sat next to him on the bed.
XXXAll I had done was reach out and softly grip onto his sleeve. This time, I made sure my face was hidden. "I... don't want to be alone..."
XXX"Do you want to come home with me then?" I smiled at him ,as I hid my aura of happiness that is going out of control.
XXX"You'll have to ask the nurses, but... you'd better put something on to disguise yourself."
XXX"Nah, I don't have any thing to hid in. And besides" I pointed to the door. Showing a crowd of nurses outside. "I've already been found out."
XXX"Tch..." I made a noise through my teeth, glaring at the door.
XXX"Heheh," I smiled and held up a finger in front of him. "Wait here" I winked at him with my back facing the nurses.
XXXThis didn't sound very good. "Uh...?"
XXXI stood up, fixed my hair a bit ,and left the room.
XXX"J-Juudas-san...?"
XXXJust outside the door I stood there charming the nurses and after they left I came back inside. "There everything’s taken care of."
XXXDamn Juudas... I laid there, now agitated. "What was that exactly, Juudas-san...?!"
XXX"Hm? I just asked the nurses for some things."
XXX"Was it really...?" I asked, my voice now taking a sad tone to it.
XXX"Hahahaha, don't worry about it," there was a knock on the door. The nurse from before peeked in
XXX"Juu-san, you may leave with Yoshimatsu-san now." she in formed us.
XXX"Ah, thank you," I smiled to her as she blushed and left the room. "See?" I turned back to him
XXXI see now. My only response was to make a face to him. "You bribed the nurse to let me leave with you?"
XXX"Bribe? What are you talking about? I just used an idol's smile and asked nicely."
XXX"I call that a bribe in your case..."
XXX"Hahahah, well anyway since we got permission, let's go." I said ,smiling. Another knock on the door. This time it was two different nurses.
XXX“Here are the crutches and walking cast you asked for, Juu-san! <3"
XXX"...." I sighed, sitting up now.
XXX"Ah, thanks." I said to them, "Here ya` go." I handed them an envelope and closed the door as the two left.
XXXMy curiosity began running wild in to what could've been in that envelope, but more questioning would just be pointless. The main topic I wanted to ask about when arriving home is about Juudas' past. With that, I looked to him now. "I may need a little help getting out of bed..."
XXX"Alright, then" I walked up to him still smiling. I stood beside his bed extending a hand out to him.
XXXI blinked once, reaching my hand out to him and placed it to his own, gripping on it. "...?"
XXXI grabbed his hand tight yet gently and lifted him out of bed. "There we go!"
XXX"C-careful...!" I struggled slightly to regain balance. The cast was quite heavy.
XXX"Ah, sorry." I said, as I handed the crutches to him.
XXXI began to grumble as I acquired the crutches from Juudas. Placing each one under my arm, I lifted my injured leg up and then walked a few paces to get used to them.
XXX"Ready to go?"
XXX"Y-yes." I stammered a slight bit, making my way over to him. "I'm surprised you didn't offer to carry me." I said with a smirk.
XXX"Ah but I wanted to!" I grabbed the door knob, "C'mon." I said as I walked out.
XXXCome to think of it, something like this recalled to me like the first time we met. Remembering that, I released a soft sigh that would be barely noticeable. "...." I pondered.
XXXI looked back at him and turned around, "What is it, Yoshimatsu-kun?"
XXX"...You can carry me." I said, blushing slightly. The pain in my leg had returned and I didn't think the crutches would help much.
XXXSmiling, I walked up to him, "Okay then how would you like to be carried?" I asked expecting for the most obvious and denying the other.
