For those of you who don't know, I'm going to major in mechanical engineering at my first choice college next year. As a side note, my second choice college offered me 5,000 a year just for attending, but I'm still going with my first choice. Any way, I decided a needed to document how I became interested in engineering.
You see, it began 5 years ago. Two of my NH friends were always talking about how much they loved being on a FIRST Robotics team. There were times where I would call one of them at midnight, I'd ask what he was doing, and he'd tell me he was at robotics.
The next year, I was a freshman, and I heard that my school had a FIRST Robotics team. I had no idea what to expect, but I wanted to see what it was all about. I loved it. I was one of three girls on the hardware component design team(CDT). None of us had any previous experience on the team, nor did we know anything about wiring. I learned a lot and had a great time. That summer, I was determined I would become an electrical engineer.
