I had a very good day yesterday. I was asked to babysit my niece and nephew, and I must admit, at first, I was not looking forward it. Keeping an eye on a 3 and 4 yr old who always seem intent on destroying my house, certainly is a task! But, as the morning went on, we laughed, and we danced, and finally we all snuggled up on the couch to watch "Rodolph The Red-nosed Reindeer", I realized that I have spent far too much time thinking about the things in life that I don't have, and not really taking a moment to look around and appreciate the beautiful things I do have in my life. As they drifted off to sleep, I was reminded of my own childhood, and the wonderful aunts and uncles, who spent a morning or two with me in their arms. I hope I was able to lift their spirits then, as mine are now. I only wish someone thoughtful enough to take a picture could have been there, but, I know I will remember that tender moment, and that's all that really matters!
