December 9, 2009 - The Day Big Lake Actually Won Something
So the morning started out normal enough, until I looked out the window and found there was about three inches of snow in the driveway. I looked up at the clock and noticed it was 6:50, time to get to the bus, and the neighbor (whom we share a driveway with) still hadn't gotten out of bed to plow. I grabbed my toast and put on my jackets (yes, two jackets, it was that cold) and went outside to wait for the bus. It was late, as usual, but today was Wednesday, so I really didn't care.

You see, Wednesdays are my good days. Monday just sucks, Friday sucks even more because it means a boring weekend, and the other days are just "meh," but Wednesday's cool because I get to see Ashley after school, even if it is just for a little while, because we have our Anime Club meetings. Nothing good can last though, and when I was on the bus to Vo Tech, that's when it crashed. The driver told us to crack our windows in the back because it was fogging up, but mine was frozen shut. Two of the ALC kids who ride the same bus as we do started spazzing out on me because I wasn't able to open it, so I told them to "stop being a couple of little words-I-can't say (hint: starts with b, ends with itches)," so they freaked out even more. They told me they were gonna knock me out, but I really didn't care. I told em it was Wednesday, and I wasn't in the mood to ruin my day.

Anyways, back to the point. Today was our last day of the shooting olympics, and the Big Lake/Howard Lake team was losing by three medals (gold=3 points, silver=two, bronze=1), but fortunately today the values doubled. After the first round, everyone was tied up at eighteen medals, and the next round was the controlled pairs drill. Me and Andrew make a kickass team, so we took both the gold and silver medals for that round, jacking our score up to twenty eight, two above the previous lead. We kept going at this pace, only losing in the first quickdraw round (still grabbing the silver) but taking both the gold and silver once again in the second round. We later broke off into our individual alternating target rounds, and I did okay on those, but in the end, we won with thirty four medals, breaking the all-time high record. Big Lake was actually good for something wink

The rest of the day went by pretty smooth, and by the last half hour of the day, I was completely done with my homework. I had nothing better to do, so I decided to hop on Gaia and check some stuff. I was looking through my inventory for a new item when I saw this weird bat-shaped choker that I had never seen before, let alone remembered purchasing. I figured "I don't really wear chokers, and you couldn't see it under my armor anyways, so I'll just sell it." It was a good idea, because I got over 4,000 gold out of it, so I bought a new scarf and my epic machete. That's when the tech guy hijacked my computer and shut off the internet. We got into an argument through the word processor, and eventually I just gave up and shut off the computer.

At the end of the day, after our Anime Club meeting, I stopped at the library and picked up the new Gun Digest and the Ninja Scroll movie, making it both ways walking through ankle-deep snow. Overall, though, I'd say the day went just fine. wink

P.S.
I'm probably gonna have to teach those punks a lesson tomorrow, so wish me luck smile
