jerry was a soldier but wanted to be free from the shakles that held him in the army that he was enlisted in. he didin't know why he just didn't want to fight for a goverment that was going to change it's evil ways. he had to fight because his family was being held captive. the reason why they are making him fight is because his power to change into the demons that he killed.
