Looks: Tall, slim and toned with strong, but not prominent, muscles, Roux sports a dark scar accross his right thigh. His hair is thick, dark and slightly unruly, and just long enough to cover his ears. His eyes are deep brown flecked with amber. His skin is fair, mostly due to spending a lot of time indoors, and his features are classically handsome.
Personality: Roux is the perfect English Gentleman: suave, guarded, and with impeccable manners. He enjoys fencing, reading, ballroom dancing, and a good glass of red wine, and hates to see a lady in distress. He is well spoken, sharp-witted, and, though generally truthful, he not opposed to lying to get out of an unpleasant situation. Although he can sometimes be caught flirting with ladies, his feelings are never invested as he has been celibate since his wife's death.
Background: Born into a wealthy family in the 1800s, in a manor just outside of London, Roux grew up surrounded by all the privileges such a lineage brings. He married young, to a woman below his station, who died from exposure to an unknown toxin two years after their marriage, leaving Roux widowed and childless. It was this incident that sparked Roux's fascination for poisons, and he spared no expense researching the subject. After he had exhausted the knowledge of London apothecaries, he liquidised most of his wealth and began to travel in search of ever rarer and more deadly poisons. He sells andidotes and harmless potions support his journey, and helps those in need wherever he can.
Weapons: Fencing sword hidden inside a silver-tipped cane; hand crossbow; poisons.
Powers: No powers of race, but his knowledge of poisons and tonics is vast and ever-growing. Also an excellent fencer.
Weakness: The wound on his leg occasionally cramps up, making it difficult to walk. Although fit, Roux is past his prime.
