-Okay, yeah, so it's continued from the first one, and since I am slow at typing, this might take a while to get the rest up. I'm just hoping someone actually reads this. sweatdrop xp


“Hey! You there!” A raccoon in a blue work apron ran up to me, huffing as he went. “Are you Haruka?” I nodded my head, grinned, and introduced myself, fully. “Hello. Nice to meet you! You probably already know, but my name’s Haruka Marcai. Um, I suppose you are my landlord?” He grinned and nodded his head vigorously. “Yes, that I am. My name is Tom Nook! A pleasure to make your acquaintance! Alright, let’s get down to business. You wanted to see the houses, right? Well, come on then.” We scuttled along the path that led to my soon-to-be housing.
“Well, here they are.” I stood next to the bulletin board that was in the middle of the four small houses. Each house had a chimney, a mailbox, two windows, and a gyroid in front of it. (A gyroid is a small, hollow, mushroom-shaped stump-thing that has holes for its eyes & mouth, and is almost constantly moving.) They all looked small, but cozy. “So? Go on and take a look inside of them.” The first one I looked in was on the bottom right, and even though I hadn’t looked in the rest, I decided I wanted this one. It had a nice, furry-ish carpet and walls made of adobe-like concrete. Or maybe some other mixture. But I didn’t really care about the way it was made, it just felt smooth on the bottom of my hand. I stepped outside and Mr.Nook asked me what I thought of the house. “It’s perfect. I want this one.”
“Really? Are you sure? You haven’t even checked out any of the others.”

“No. I’m positive. I really like this one.”

“Ok. That will be 20,000 bells.” I opened up my rucksack to get some money, only to find out that all I had with me was 1,000 bells. But I handed him the money anyways. He looked at what I had given him. “Is this all you have?” I slowly nodded, the slight curls in my hair swaying. He sighed. “This is a thorny situation. Very thorny indeed.” He looked as though he was weighing options in his head, and then as if he had found the solution to all my problems. “I have a great idea! You can work off your bill with the money you earn working at my store! It’ll take a while, and you may not like the jobs I give you, but it will work.” The despair that had spread through me quickly diminished as I toyed with the idea in my mind. A grin broke across my face.

“When do I start, Boss?”

Chapter Two: My Job

Tom Nook had me running errands everywhere. The first thing he had me do after I changed into my uniform (Which was very un-stylish, if you ask me!) was to plant flowers and saplings around his shop. He said it was to “Make it look nicer”. Though I’m sure he just wanted me to do all of the stuff he had put off for years… He also said that the more customers I attracted, the faster I pay off my debt. I guess he had a point with that.
“Hey, Haruka. Since you are new in town, I think you should go out and meet everyone. The town isn’t that big, so it shouldn’t take that long. Oh, don’t forget to introduce yourself to the mayor! He’s in front of the town hall.”
