They say that tears never fall far from your eyes before they crash.
They also say that your eyes are the gateway to your soul.
So does that mean when you cry, you're letting go of some of your soul, and that every tear is a small fraction of your existence, that you're letting slip away from you?
Or maybe a tear is the very materialization of a dream, one that you have discarded because you've realized you cannot reach it. Or at the very least, you don't believe you can.
But in any case, you've lost something, be it Happiness, or a Childhood dream. Maybe even a Lifelong friend. And it isn't so farfetched to say that the fractal edges of a tear, though they may be liquid, may reflect the joyous or tragic outcomes of your dreams and relationships; the small rainbows displayed on your skin as the sun hits them just so to show you a glimpse of your future.
Is it so wrong to believe that every tear is a memory, be it one that you have already experienced or one that you have yet to receive, and that every tear is precious.
Every smile.
Every frown.
Every clenched fist, every arched brow.
Every single second is precious.
So we must treasure each and every oppurtunity we have, and live every day to its fullest.
Because our next tear may be our last.
