You took my heart in your hands and gave it a squeeze,
I looked into your eyes and murmured, "Please..."
You smiled once and I fell far and deep,
I smiled back, but soon I could only weep.
You never truly cared, I was just a game,
I was never a face, a thought, only a name.
You don't really care, even now, I think.
I look at you and my heart and eyes blink.
You said you cared, damn you, but you never did,
I think myself of this world I shall rid.
You'll be in my heart, forever and unretreating,
I'll think of you when my heart stops beating.
