i wrote this quite some time ago, but i just love it(: for some reason the code isn't working though...it works everywhere else...):
Adrienne Celeste Dulcie Hiding behind the shadows, I'll be waiting in the dark, to drive this blade straight through your heart. An eerie, poignant melody resounded through the cemetery, something of a hum distorted, dry and flaking. It issued from the mouth of a tiny girl, barely the age of eight. She hugged her bunny, Tiff, tighter to her chest as the mist hissed away from her body heat. It roiled in on itself, showing her the pictures of it's dead it protected below.
"Adrienne Celeste Dulcie, Mysterious, Heavenly, and Sweet!" Her full lips stretched over perfect baby teeth. "Mysterious and Heavenly, yes. But sweet? Oh, I don't know. What do you say?" She questioned to seemingly no one, but the heavy mist swirled up her legs caressing her cheek. "I'm glad you think so, too." She crooned.
"Who shall join you today? Woman, Man, Child, Babe...I believe last time it was a stringy woman. She was no good, no good at all. Today, we shall feast on the tender, juicy fat of a babe," She decided with an innocent laugh.
Adrienne Celeste skipped out of the Dead's Sanctuary, leaving them to the worms and festering growths below the ground. Slowly, the night air began to buzz with life, a soft breath of sound, something melodic, something familiar and yet melancholy. People appeared also, the high business men that ruled the country, to the hobos that dotted the streets. She'd made the mistake of taking one of them before, and never again would it happen.
"Oh! A party! How delightful!" A tinkle of enchantment bubbling from her perfect lips. "Maybe we won't need a babe today, for the intoxicated body is always so....pleasurable." Adrienne shivered in delight, stepping as lithely as a panther past the guard by the door. She clapped her hands with glee, the gentle golden glow of the lights seemingly falling only upon her, illuminating her with a heavenly kiss. The Masqueraders swished past her, murmuring to each other in confusion. "Why is a child here?" and "Aren't children forbidden here?"
The small girl giggled. "Hello, miss. My name's Adrienne Celeste. What's yours?" She asked an already tipsy woman, whose obese body swayed to the music. The woman looked down, blinking several times to focus. "Madame Layla," She said imperiously before turning her back.
Adrienne grinned, a sudden, terrifying age and grace in her features. "Madame Layla. Perfect." She grabbed the food-friendly woman's chubby hand, pulling her with strength unknown to normal humans. "Come, Layla. We should talk." Adrienne said, her previously cute face gone ice cold. Heartless. Cruel. Ruthless.
They left the party behind, forsaking the golden glow for the silver, lusty touch of the moon. The gates of the cemetery surfaced, the wind swinging them wide as though they were welcoming their goddess's return. "Where are you taking me?" Madame Layla's French accent was layered with fear. Adrienne laughed, an evil, snarling sound. "I told you. We're...talking." She turned to face the fat woman, and then lunged for her.
Her slender, piano-player's fingers ripped savagely through Madame Layla's fleshy throat, muscle flayed open and blood pouring upon the dry ground. It seeped through the cracks, soaking the dying grass with it's crimson color. The large woman gurgled for a moment before collapsing to the ground, her life-blood spilling around her.
Adrienne grinned evilly before lowering her head and taking a drink of the bloody corpse. "Ooh, perfect! Just the right amount of champagne." She continued to drink until the carcass was an ashen color, empty of life. "Oh, I do hope you have some relatives," Adrienne said, already returned to her angelic self, wiping smeared blood off her face. "You were positively delightful!" She giggled before lifting the limp body from the ground, walking through the creaking gates of the cemetery. "I've returned! And look what I brought!" She called out, and the mist curled lovingly around her body as she walked to the pond to the left of the graves. "Oh, my sweethearts, Mommy has returned. Come and see what she has for you to eat!" The water's surface remained still, but when she held the body out, a drop of blood rolled from the dead body's finger. And another. The water thickened, darkening, congealing to a swamp as though the blood had soured the once glittering, clear pool.
And then, a flash so lightning-quick the shape was impossible to conceive, toppled the body down into the water. It surged and roiled, and Adrienne cooed, "Yes, feast, my babies. Eat and be healthy!"
