springtime is here
as the sun smiles
her rays beam down for all to see
dogs bask in the sunlight
as kittens playfully tackle each other
in the newborn flowers
trees awaken from their deep slumbers
to find the grass a vibrant green
swaying in the wind
as parents set up their picnics
laughing children make crowns out of flowers
smiling babies throw their food at the parents
teens sit and listen to their music
as the parents aren't looking
they are kissing their lovers
later this night
the child sit excitingly waiting for the fireworks
as the parents sit
drinking and talking about old times
the teens go for a quiet walk
springtime carefully caress life
making sure there will be no pain
