Can't sleep
hard as i try
slumber won't come
As i lay here
i think about you

your smile
your laugh
your jokes
your company

being around
you always
made me happier
i forgot about
the things that
hurt me
but remembered
you being with me

i remember when
i would have to leave you
for hours
because i had to sleep
being with you for six hours
wasn't enough

the nights i could sleep
i dreamt of the next day
when i could be with you again

the other nights were spent
