My day...
Morning: Woke up at 8am, feeling gooood. Finally!, no more sun in the face in the morning for me...! Operation: cardboarding windows - success!!
I was supposed to have gone to my uni's administrative services today - I forget what they're called, the names keep changing every year, it seems - but... bah! It can wait until tomorrow. Instead, I stayed in bed and spent the morning reading.
Remember how I said I'd never lay eyes on a Saint Seiya fanfic again...? Well, I lied. Although, I suppose what I read couldn't rightly be called fanfiction... it was more like an original story with characters whose names happened to be the same as those from SS. Either way, it was fantastic. Kanon was a prisoner in a war between Greece and another, fictional, country and there was a group of enemy rebels who were planning to run away from the front lines and were hiding him from the others. Meanwhile, he had to sit and watch as his fellow countrymen (mostly Aiolia) were tortured for information and executed for the enemy's entertainment. The general atmosphere was very reminiscent of those old war movies... extremely well written too... shame it wasn't complete.
In the afternoon... I studied. *represses memories*
And just now... Well, I was calmly tidying up the kitchen when suddenly there's A HAND knocking on the window. First reaction: wtf? Then I heard calling... oohhh, how I wish I'd left the kitchen lights off so I had an excuse to ignore it. It was one of my neighbours - she's a bit crazy and gossipy - and she wanted to let me know that one of the other neighbours had poured water (with who knows what in it) over the clothes that I'd left hanging outside to dry.
I thanked her for letting me know (slightly creeped out at the way she said she saw everything that went on with the neighbours through her kitchen curtains) and tried to get rid of her as quickly and gently as possible - but nooo. Now that she had an audience, she had to give me all the details about her demented war with the parents of the water-dumping woman (they live here in another apartment too). I really wasn't interested in listening about it, but she's persistent and slightly intense when she's got the tongue going - and the last thing I want is to get on her bad side. Apparently, these two have now reached the stage where they'll knock at each other's door and throw cat urine at each other - no joke. I live in a crazy, crazy place...
*sigh*
And at dinner, I finally mastered the use of chopsticks! Yipee! </anakin>
Ok, ok, so "mastered" might be a bit of an exaggeration, but who cares, haha.
Another day gone by.
