"Ok, this is a topic I am very opinionated about. I personally feel that if a person is stupid enough to get pregnant, they need to take responsibility for their actions and raise their child. I feel that abortion is an excuse. Plus, if you create a life you have NO right to take it. Its your own damn fault for opening your legs so it is extremely ARROGANT to deny what you knew going into it. Abortion gives untastful hill-billys the freedom to sleep around and never suffer the consequences. I feel absolutely ZERO pitty for stupid teenagers who sleep around and get pregnant. And I MEAN ZERO. I don't tolerate that kind of animal behavior and I am not afraid to tell people what idiots they are for participating in it.
On the contrary, I feel this world would be allot better off with less people. It would solve so many problems. Global warming, Water shortage, Starvation.....you name it. But even so, It is not our choice to take a life that hasn't even started yet. If you are in a situation of rape, or something like that, then put the baby up for adoption. I know that seems painful, but killing a child just because it was unwanted is selfish and inhuman. But anyway, my main point is " You regret, you atone". Meaning, even if you have done something unexpected or wrong, you have to deal with it and live everyday to the fullest to make what you've done wrong: right."
-Arkelle, Reply to a friends teen pregnancy
So. This is what I wrote to someone who was faced with teen pregnancy. Yes, it is very harsh, but it has to be. The only way you can make these people understand what they have done is to tell them without relent. It amazes me at the meager reactions people get when they are faced with unexpected obligation. It is extremely childish for humans to even consider taking a life they willingly created. In this day and age, information about pregnancy prevention is everywhere, and it is impossible to be unaware in the U.S. That is why I feel no pity for teenagers who have sex and act surprised when they are pregnant a few weeks later. The way I see it, before you have sex you should ask yourself "Am I ready for a baby?" If you answer "no" then close your damn legs.
I personally believe that it is a womans fault for getting pregnant. Why? Because I am well aware of the fact that men are immature horny bastards, and they should be treated as such until proven otherwise. Women however, are more level-headed, and less driven by animal instinct. A sensible woman should refuse any form of sex until she is married, or using some kind of contraception. Still, I don't believe in sex before marriage, even if it is protected. For the record, NO i am not a super religious catholic schoolgirl who has never kissed a boy. I am a regular california 16 year old who attends regular public school. I have been faced with hormonal drama before, believe me, but I like to consider myself smart enough to know a bad decision when I see it.
I also do not believe that men who demand sex before marriage deserve anything but a slap in the face. Men need to understand that women are not tools of pleasure you can use whenever you want. And the naive woman needs to realize that a man does not love you if he wants you only for a physical relationship. I cannot stand people who degrade themselves by allowing another person to use them as a dissposable form of satisfaction. People need to understand that sex ruins lives before it creates them, and all it will provide you in the end is challenges.
Ok, well to get back on topic, I feel the only time abortion should ever be brought up is in the situation of rape. I understand the awful feeling a woman must get when she looks in the face of her rapists child. I know that child may be hated all its life for who its father was, and still I don't feel abortion is the answer. I think adoption is much more suitable. Think about it. That child that was bred from the suffering of one woman, will be adopted by another family who will love them for who they are, and will never be seen as a rapists mistake ever again. And that life that was created out of suffering, will be born into a home full of love. So even an unwanted, and tainted life, is still a life worth saving in my opinion.
So, for my thoughts on life this is what I think:
Equivalent exchange. A life for a life.
I feel that if you take someone elses life, you should be ready to loose your own. Anyone who has robbed another of their life does not deserve to live themself.
it is equivalent exchange: TO obtain, something of equal value must be lost.
I don't believe in any human being above this rule. Not even myself. If I was ever to kill someone, even for good reason, I would turn myself into prison and declare myself guilty. Because I see no point in living a lie. If it is true, face it. I will never understand why people do things willingly, and then deny them later. It is pure foolishness.
So, now you know how I feel about all of this. I hope you have learned a thing or two about being wise when it comes to decisions. And maybe in the future, less unwanted babys will be born out of the arrogance of their parents.
