When you're different, people avoid you. When you are an outcast, no one wants you.
For one eighteen year old, that was just a part of life. Being outcasted because he was different, Kodi had been on his own since he was ten. Eight years ago this day was the day that he had been disowned by his own family and shunned by the community just because of him not being what he appeared to be. Eight years ago this day, was the day that both he and his family discovered he was more than what his somewhat human appearance let on. It was the day that they learned that he was a shape shifter.
Kodi shook his head to get the memories out of his head as he walked, heading no where in peticular. His silver colored hair falling into his silvery-grey eyes. At times, he hated being a shape shifter, and at times he counted it as a blessing, but this was one of those times he wished he was what he appeared to be.....human. After eight years of being an outcast, Kodi was getting tired of being alone all the time, but thanks to what he was, no one would ever give him a chance to prove he wouldn't harm anyone, even in his other form. He sighed as he thought about how nice it would be to not have to sleep in caves and to have someplace to actually call home.
Being as lost in thought as he was, he didn't realize where he was until he came across and old house on the outskirts of town. He snapped out of his train of thought and took a look around the outside of the house. Assuming that it was abandoned by it's previous owners, Kodi decided to stop at the house for the night, even though his more animal instincts were telling him he should find somewhere else to stay, because there was something else staying at the house.
Ignoring what his instincts were telling him, Kodi sought out a soft patch of grass under a rather large apple tree, where he would be sleeping at for the night. It wasn't long before Kodi used his unique abilities and shifted into a large silver furred wolf. He moved ove to the grass patch under the tree and curled up. Falling to sleep quickly. Being what he was, Kodi didn't have very many belongings. He only had the clothes on his back, the collar around his neck and couple of puches, on the belt he wore. He kept a little bit of money in one and some food in the others, but for the most part he didn't have any posseions. The only reason he wore a collar, was so that people would think he was a normal dog while he was in his wolf form, but that act never lasted long.
