I no longer remember who suggested it, but I am currently reading a book called Stiff. It about things that happen to bodies after people die. By this i mean not just obvious things like decomposition and embalming but various scientific uses. Reading me, it struck me as up karjack's writerly ally, so I thought I'd mention it here as a charmingly written, layman oriented book with useful information like how far you have to fall for your clothes to be blown off or how you can tell if a plane was blown up or just burned after the crash using corpse bits as clues. I know some of you write, so I thought it might be of general interest.
