A Call to Arms

Before Dragon could talk to Dai or Nerissa block the windows, a sparrow flew in through an open window and deposited a note on her desk.

"Nerissa, hold the order," Dragon said, picking up the note.

As she read through the note, Dai noticed Dragon appeared to change [1]. "Dra'n?" [2]

"Nerissa," Dragon said, standing. "Alert everyone to a household meeting. Anyone who does not show up in the next five minutes, you punt their a** to the Meeting Grounds." (( This paragraph was in another language--Dragon High Speech--known only to the DD and HDD. I translated it for you guys however ))

"Aye Captain," Nissa replied. When Dragon used the DHS, Nerissa knew that given orders were expected to be obeyed.

In five minutes, the whole of the Dragon Dynasty, Honorary Dragon Dynasty, Ankle Biter Crew, and Ankle Biter Crew: Damned Experiments had gathered in the Meeting Grounds. The Meeting grounds were behind the house where there was enough room for everyone.

Once everyone was quiet, Dragon said, "I received a letter from Southern Gaia. Apparently Rose is going to be the queen of whatever race lives in Green Shade. However, she ran into some trouble with a bunch of demons who, according to Rose, made Luman look like an angel compared to them. I called you here today because I have orders for all of you."

"For the ABC and ABCDE," Dragon said, looking at the two groups of animals, "while I am gone, there are to be NO more experiments and NONE of your usual destroy-parts-of-the-house rampages. Nerissa has full authority to detain anyone who breaks this order in whatever way she wishes--this includes killing you if she deems it necessary. Dismissed!"

As the ABC and ABCDE left, Dragon said to the others, "For the DD and HDD, you are all coming with me as Rose's Honor Guard. I am going to give you a choice. You may either come with me to eradicate aforementioned demons before going to Green Shade, or you may go with Nissa to report to Green Shade as an Advance Guard."

"Nissa step forward," Dragon ordered. Once the android was standing to her left, Dragon said to the others, "Now make your decisions."

Within moments, the two groups were decided. Besides Nissa, those going to Green Shade were Alachia, Lizbeth, Rhonabwy, Varda, Varden, Xink, Flan, Ette, Nate, and n**. Besides Dragon, those that were going exterminate the demons were Broden, Larkin, Nogard, Shalimar, Wynn, Xangord, Creighton, Dai, Lord Avondale, Wolf.

"You guys take Nerissa Altsoba," Dragon said to Nissa's group. "Those of you who are dragons, I want you lock down your powers completely. We are not known in Southern Gaia--yet--and I'd prefer it to stay that way as long as possible."

Turning to her group, Dragon said, "Dai, I want you to carry Wolf."

"But he's a canine!" Dai replied.

"Are you refusing an order?" Dragon asked, slipping into DHS.

"No," Dai replied, transforming into her dragon form. "Just making a statement is all."

"You're an extremely fuzzy dragon," Wolf said to Dai.

"Stuff it dog boy," Dai replied.
