the sun barely shows through the thick leaves. Ferns rustle, leaves brush against one another. I see no creatures. I walk. It begins to rain. The water drips off trees onto my head, huge droplets soak me. Thunder strikes somewhere in the distance, i don't know how close. A flash of lightning strikes another cloud, lightning up the sky like fireworks. Deep greens surround me, branches wave around in the harsh wind. A branch smacks me in the face. I still see no creatures. Lightning covers the sky like a web, only a faint glow in the canopy. I can barely see my hand in front of my face. Then for a few minutes, there is silence be sides the pounding rain. I stand still, i do not walk, and i barely dared to breathe. Another flash and huge boom, and lightning strikes the ground not a mile away, lighting up the entire forest and setting fire to some trees, i don't know how to escape. In that split second, i saw a shadow standing between trees, and finally i know i am not alone.
