I know how you feel, a lot of the time before i felt a lot more comfortable being at the computer, chatting to my online friends, because I felt i shared a closer connection to them. Because where I lived before, nad the high school i went to, there wasn't anyone around that I felt i had much in common with, so I was just like you, unhappy with my real life/unwanted, but really excited about the cyber world.
that kind of a "balance" shouldn't exist though. It can be very self-destructive sometimes. You need to be happy in both worlds, which is hard, but if the real world is making you feel unhappy and unwanted you are just letting all of its evils take control. You just need to ignore the things that make you feel unhappy and unwanted. Best way to do that is to keep your life busy with the things you love doing...
in high school i was reaaaaallly unhappy all hte time, i could even say i was pretty depressed, i'd just sit at the computer 24/7, but then I realized my life was going nowhere, and noone could change that but me, so I started doing more of the things I loved, started learning to play instruments, piano, guitar, etc; started learning to breakdance, used my parents video camera and made awhole bunch of movies with some people for class projects, and discovered some good friends in the process; then when i went to university, all of these traits that i worked on, lead me to having a HUGE group of friends, because of such a variety of people i liked meeting: musicians, artists, dancers, etc.
and now I'm working towards a youtube channel that I hope will have millions of views in the future! ^_^
so, sorry if I read too much into your message, and I don't know what your situation is exactly, but I really do wish that you be happy in all aspects of your life, and try to ignore the bad things, keep yourself busy (not just with the cyber world >_< wink so your mind is distracted from the 'reality' and you can enjoy it!
