Okies. I thought about all the randomness I put into this and thought I would put it to better use. Here is a story I have been working on for a little under a year. Hope you enjoy.
Gwen sat in silence with her laptop in hand. She surfed through Google looking up Dream meanings. A pair of crimson eyes have been haunting her dreams for weeks now ,and she has had enough of waking in a cold sweat. She sighed as her internet was either going slower the usual or that her fears were making her mind work slower then ever. The page was halfway loaded then the screen went blank. "Damn it not now." She whispered under her breath hitting the power hoping her computer working again. It was false hope as the computer had seen its better days. It was a hand-me-down from her brother. Gwen sighed again defeated by the hunk of old circuits. "The one night I need it is the one night it doesn't work!" she closed the computer and pressed her forehead to the smooth plastic. She then placed it on her nightstand and turned off her light. She waited for a minute staring into the darkness her fears growing more prominent. She slid down under her blankets hugging her pillow afraid to fall under the trance that is sleep. Her eyes sagged and she was gone sleep had taken her.
Under the cover of darkness a stranger lurked outside the window watching, waiting for his chance to strike. He slipped silently into Gwen's room. The floor creaked slightly and Gwen tossed in her sleep. She turned in her sleep letting go of the death grip on her pillow. The dark figure was now standing over Gwen crimson eyes glowing a wicked smile played itself over his face. He leaned in grabbing her hair pulling her from her sleep bringing her nightmare to life. Fear took over her body. She tried to scream, any sound that would alert anyone to the presence of the unwelcome guest. He took a deep breath taking in Gwen's tantalizing scent. His crimson eyes grew brighter he was finally going to get his prize. Weeks of stalking her was finally going to pay off.
Saliva swelled up in his mouth as he lowered his head to the nape of her neck. Running his nose up and down her neck until he found the perfect place. Gwen's eyes grew wide as she felt two fangs press her skin. A warm trickle go down her neck. She finally found her voice but only one word made its way out vampire. The figure sank his teeth farther into her neck draining Gwen of her life. It all happened so fast the weight was lifted off of her. Gwen's eyes slowly closed as a second figure emerged from the shadows; blood stained his clothes also his lips. Gwen faded into the cold embrace of darkness.
Crimson eyes appeared in the darkness getting closer and closer. A body adding itself to the eyes and that same malevolent smile plastered across his face. Bright white teeth shining in the dark a cold hand griped her throat.Breath was being drained from Gwen. She became desperate she screamed ,but this time her voice was not silenced.
She shot up out of the bed she was in even though her eyes were open she was still in the darkness. She felt around the cotton sheets brushed her skin. A sigh of contentment escaped her lips "It was only a dream." She slid back down into the blankets; the lights came on and a half naked man ran into the room. She looked around it was not her room. Fear yet again took over her again Gwen's body went stiff, her eyes widened, and all the hair on the back of her neck stood on end. Her dark black hair slid down over her eyes. The man sat down on the side of the bed "Everything fine! Your okay" He paused a few seconds "I'm not going to hurt you.:
He lifted a hand to her face brushing the hair from her eyes. "I promise." His calming voice filled the room. Gwen calmed unexpectedly he made her feel safe.
She had no idea what was going on this attractive man was trying to calm her and somehow it was working. She was in this unknown place, she was confused on how she even got there in the first place. "Hey are you okay now? Look at me and tell me your okay." He held her face up to his looking in to her eyes his angel like voice was a little more stern this time. Gwen was aw stricken this man looked like a god; he was tall, muscular, his skin was a beautiful pale cream color, his glossy black hair and his eyes a pale grey with a slight red tint. Gwen's looks failed in comparison her short body, her eyes a pale green and her hair only a a light blond. Gwen merely shook her head yes still trying to contemplate what was going on. The god smiled "that's good I'm glad your okay." Gwen spoke with a voice that sounded like it hadn't been used in a while
"Where am I and who are you?" she tilted her slightly only to have a sharp pain stab her neck. She lifted her hand to her neck a soft cotton rap was snugly around her neck held together with medical tape.
He grabbed her hand and held it protectively on his knee. "You are in my home and I am Demetri Knight." She looked looked down at her hand how it fit perfectly in his own. "But why am I here?" Demetri nodded his head and smiled his amazingly beautiful smile. "Wow, You really don't remember anything about two weeks ago do you?"
Gwen stopped him "What do you mean two weeks?!?" Demetri laugh slightly "Don't freak out on me. You were attacked." he looked into her eyes for any hint of fear. "By a vampire." He cut himself off quickly on the last word not wanting to scare her anymore.
"Vampire." Gwen sighed remembering what happened her neck throbbed in pain. "why me though?''
"Well you smell amazing."
"What are you talking about?''
Demetri looked down at her hand rubbing his thumb over her skin. "You need sleep. You have been through a lot. I promise I will tell you everything in the morning." With that he got up from the bed and walked to the door. He stopped looking back at Gwen and smiled flipping the light switch. Gwen was left there sitting in the dark, confused more then ever. What was he talking about? I smell good? This can't be right. He is so pretty. Wait! You can't think like this. You just met him. Well, you woke up in his bed. Not really a good sign. Is he....one of them? That's the only way I could have gotten here.It explains why he was so cold as well. Oh, but that smile of his. Hey! I already said enough of that! Gwen sighed her thoughts were getting out of hand. The voice in her head was messing with her. She believed it to be her conscious. What am I going to do? I can't stay here I need to get home. My family will worry...are worried. He said said that I have been here for two weeks. Did I lose that much blood? I was...bitten...don't you get turned if you're bitten? He thoughts jumbled up in her head again. The voice wasn't screaming at her this time. "He is defiantly getting bashed with questions in the morning." Gwen hadn't noticed that she had sank back into the warm bed. By the time she did it was to late. sleep had taken her again.
