She wasnt from Russia, but Ukraine,and moved to Russia on behafe of safety unknowen reasons. The lovely girl was only 13 at the time, and Catherine the second was ruleing at the time, and she had not yet passed away, and not yet deliverd yet any childern. Alexavena was brought to the Russian court, as princess. But Catherine's czar, Peter, saw no interset in her, and decided she will never be marked down in the Romenov family tree,since she is not even a pure blooded Russian. Catherine was angerd by this, because she saw her own young likeness in Alexavena, and herself, was from Prussia, so Catherine had no Russian blood in her, but she was still marked down in the court.
