Assembly instructions
Line up the flat edge of Button 1 with the edge of the hat. Pin into place. Thread the darning needle with the 12-inch black yarn tail. Working along the round edge of button 1, sew into place with a running stitch. Do not sew along the flat edge with the black yarn! To attach the flat edge of Button 1, thread the darning needle with the white yarn tail and sew along the edge using a running stitch. Make sure all your yarn ends are worked into the project so as to be invisible from the outside! Once Button 1 is sewn into place, remove the pins. Line up the flat edge of Button 2 with the flat edge of Button 1 and the hat. Once it's centered on top of Button 1 while the flat edges are still aligned, pin into place. Thread the darning needle with 12-inch white yarn tail and sew all around the round and flat edges of Button 2. Again, be sure all your loose yarn ends are worked into the project so they can't be seen from the outside! Once Button 2 is sewn down, remove the pins.
