Rin-eco's story (chapters 1-5)
The moon...
So peaceful looking,
but tis only a cover up for the actual chaos and evil in this deteriorating world. The serenity it gives off to the night will not defeat this evil, nor help fix it. This world shall never be in total peace, no matter how much we wish and hope for that day to come. In other words, this world is no where as peaceful as it may seem. No one will ever agree on anything. Everyone will always see each other as an enemy, competitor, or an outsider-anyone who is different than they are. But, everyone has simularities and differences. Our differences are what makes all of us unique and special...that is not a bad thing. But people these days don’t seem to realize that.
Unless you are actually an outsider yourself. When you belong no where, and no one wants you for your differences. Then you may see things in a much different view. Although..you may be lucky enough to find someone who will accept you, and see's your view on things..who's willing to take a risk for you...yes, I knew someone like that. Although, not too long ago..he had gotten in trouble for accepting that different person. This had broke the outsiders pure heart. She knew from then on, that even if someone is actually willing to love, and accept her that it will only have a devistateing, and heart breaking ending. She understood that this world..it would never understand how she is, becuase no one ever gave her the time to show them who she was. So, the outsider gave up. But..she still walks this world, liveing among the people in secret, trying to blend in. But the outsider has no where to go, or anywhere that she belongs. She is just one of billions on people.
Who is the outsider you ask?
She is me.
CHAPTER 1
Most outsiders are not born as it- they just cannot figure out where they fit in at, and arent understood of their differences. But eventually, sometime in their lives, they figure out where they belong.
But I shall never have that happy ending.
I was born an outsider.
You see, this world..it has many different creatures that lurk in it. This, this is unknown to almost all humans. Vampires, werewolfs, and many, many others..they all live among the humans in secret. But latley..this world is taking an even bigger turn for the worst. The creatures are fighting about the many differences between the clans. Tis all a big misunderstanding..but no one realizes that. Of coarse they wont- They all see life as a gigantic battle. A battle to become number one and advance to the top. To become the most powerful, loved and popular. But, there shall always be hate and dislike. There is no number one. We are all living creatures, and all have simularities and differences. But this battle continues to rage in this world. Humans are finding out about the creatures they thought never existed do. More and more figure out about this everyday...soon, they shall join this battle too.
Now, if you are still stuck, wondering about my past-I shall explain.
First off, I am Rin-eco Suki. I am half vampire and half werewolf. This was completly forbidden for a vampire and a wereworlf to fall and love, and have a child. This is rarely heard of also, becuase it has a terrible outcome. If the child is found out about, the parents and the child are both executed-imediately.
Well, My father was betrayed by his best friend soon after my birth. They had both died from the battle between them, so I and my mother had never been found out about by the vampire or werewolf clan.
But something much more terrible had happened only one year ago.
On a chilled summer night, I was discovered.
A beautiful full moon lit the still deep blue sky that calm summer night. You see, I hadnt realized it twas to be a full moon that night. My mother had been away to the village, and I was headed to my boyfriends home. Well, happens that I turn into my 1/2 werewolf form on nights of a full moon. This, had caused something very terrible to happen, and changed my life forever.
-FLASH BACK-
"Oh my!" Tsukai's (my boyfriends) mother, Keika, yelled out, staring right into my green and blue eyes.
I must have been quite a shock to her, me being half werewolf.
"R-rin..is that you?!" Tsukai's best freind asked, not believeing his eyes.
Tsukai stared at me with a blank expression, not knowing what to do or say. He had known of this form already, but his friends and family hadnt. The only people who knew of me at the time was my mother, and boyfriend.
Just then, I had realized what happened, and why they were giving me those scared and shocked expressions.
s**t! I yelled in my mind. I had forgotten completly about that night's full moon. Before I could think anymore, Tsukai had grasped my hand quickly and pulled me into his room, shuting and locking the door behind us. He put his ear against the door, trying to listen in on their conversations.
"I...I cant beleive that she was a half breed this whole time. We could be in huge trouble if our village leaders find out about this..we cannot keep this a secret. Although..tis obvious that Tsukai already knows about her...for not telling, he could end up killed also..just like that damned monster is soon to be!" Keika screamed. We could hear her paceing in front of the door for a moment, then walk towards the phone, and begin to dial.
I could hear his mother, loud and clear. I walked over to Tsukai's bed, and sat down with tearfilled eyes. Tsukai glanced over at me with a worried expression, then continued with listning.
"Yes, we had never known about the monster till now. Only my son has known, and has been dateing..it.." There was silence for a moment. "So...you mean that my son will also have to be killed too...?" There was silence for another moment, and a weak cry was heard from Keika. "O-okay then. They are in his room at the moment. I will make sure they stay there and do not leave." After a moment the phone was hung up, and more crying was heard from the kitchen. There was still nothing heard from Tsukai's friend, Damieon.
Tsukai turned from the door, hesitantly, with a look of complete disbelief, then walked over to me, sitting beside me silently, the reality hitting him. I was sobbing by now, the words that his mother had said repeating over and over in my mind. "R-Rin..we'll find a way out of this..dont worry, ok?" Tsukai said with his angel like smooth voice, trying to comfort me. But it was simple to tell in his voice that he was worried too. I felt his arms wrap around me, his cold skin touching mine, and his gentle hands wipe the tears from my eyes, then kiss me on the forehead.
Tsukai was the only one who had ever took the time to know, accept, and love me. My mother hadnt ever even accepted me. I knew that I didnt belong there, but I wanted to.
I hated my werewolf side. They were less undertstanding than vampires, along with being less careing, and were usually very aggresive. I had somewhat thought of them as monsters, and still do. So in a way, I agreed with Tsukai's mother...I was a monster.
I closed my green-blue eyes tightly, making more tears begin to roll down my pale cheeks.
"I..Im sorry Tsukai.." I said, looking into his eyes, which turned into a deep red, like the core of a smoldering fire.
"For what?! Its not like its your fault for being born this way." He said, holding me closer, and gave me an encourageing smile. But his smile, also held a lot of sadness along with it.
I felt his gaze upon me, and opened my eyes to his cheerful contaigious smile, and couldnt help but smile myself. He had made me so happy, and feel so comfortable. He made me..not feel like a monster. I continued to look at his sweet, comforting face for a moment, then rested my head against him.
We both knew that this would soon be the end.
I then raised my head up a little. "What are we going to do..there is not way out of your room..you have no windows or anything, and your mother will not let us leave." I mumbled, looking deeply and careingly into his eyes again.
"Im not sure Rin.." He mumbled back in a monotone voice, then studied the room for a possible way to eskape from all this. But there was no way-we both knew that.
I closed my eyes partly, trying to still think of a way out of this mess that I had dragged me and Tsukai into. Hmmm..I wonder...I wonder if we were to put our magic together if we could bust through his wall..I thought, then opened my eyes more, re-thinking the plan through once more. yes..yes it should work!
A big smile formed across my face, which Tsukai must have noticed.
"What is it Rin, do you have a plan?" He asked, the hope in his voice increaseing.
"Yes-yes I do!"
"I know that we are both beginners with magic, but if we put our magic together, wouldnt it be possible to break through your bedroom wall?"
Tsukai's face lit up with a big smile.
"Yes! that should work!" He answered with excitement, and stood up, putting his hands firmly against the wall, I doing the same.
We both closed our eyes, focusing hard, and imagineing the wall breaking. I could feel the wall rumble and shake beneath my hands- and I knew it was beginning to work. A loud crack was heard from within the wall, then another and another following it. The wall began to tremble more, making my hands and arms vibrate. I could feel power slowly draining out of me, but I continued keeping my hands against the wall. A loud crash was heard, and I began to feel the wall disinigrate beneath my hands. I opened my eyes, seeing a cloud of saw dust hovering in front of us. After the cloud began to recede, a clear veiw of Tsukai's back yard, and a clear night sky was visable. Just as I began to look over at Tsukai, he wrapped his arms around me, making me flinch, then smile. Tsukai then looked me in the eyes with a huge smile, and brushed my snow white bangs out of my face, running his cold, yet soft hand over the unique turquise blue tattoo's that covered my forehead when I was in this form.
I was definetly unique.
My eyes and hair always had stayed the same. -In which I have pure white hair, tinted blue that stretches down to my feet. A blue highlight is located on each side of my head in my bangs, and I also have blue tips. My left eye is turquise blue, the same color of the many odd tattoo's that cover my entire body. A few of these tattoo's were cresent moons. There is one on my forehead, one on my chest, one on my lower back, and one on each of my shoulders. My right eye was a luminous emerald green color.
I did not have all these tattoo's in my normal vamp form. I only had the one that was located my forehead. In this form, I also had wolf ears, a wolf tail, and my fangs grew also. Not to mention, all my sences also increase more than normal in this form.
Voices were suddenly heard from the kitchen, making Tsukai imediatly grab my hand and pull me towards the dark near forest that would lead to the village.
Not too much later, I could hear voices in the distance, and knew that we were being followed. I could only hope that the people in the village hadnt heard about me yet-but I was unlucky.
People stood in front of the opening to the village, all stareing at me and Tsukai with glareing, peirceing eyes. Some held tourches, holding angry and disgusted expressions on their faces. Tsukai slowed to a stop with a troubled expression on his face.
Yes..this was the end..or so it had seemed to be atleast.
Tsukai grasped my hand tighter, staring back at the huge mob of people that began to completly encircle us.
I looked at him with sorrowful eyes. "I dont know what we can do...theres too many people to battle, and its not like our wings would help us..many of them have wings too. Were completly surrounded." I mumbled to him. "I know, I know..I dont know what we can do either Rin.." He answered me back in a whisper, tears sparkling in his scarlet eyes from the moon that hovered above us. He was also completly lost.
There was definetly no possible way out now. My heart began to sink, along with my courage and confidence in myself.
The screaming towards me and Tsukai continued to increase. Swords and tourches were raised in the air in chaotic excitement. I could feel Tsukai's arms wrap tighter around me, making me relax slightly, and close my eyes. "I love you Rin..and still will even after this life...I'll love you for all eternity." I heard him whisper in my ear, then suddenly felt his cold lips press gently agaisnt mine. Shivers ran down my spine, and I swear my heart stopped for a mere second. Everything in time seemed to freeze. It was only me and him for that moment. I really, truly loved him. I opened my eyes slightly, only seeing a blurred vision of his kind face, and returning to reality. He gave me a huge smile, one that I will never forget. There was no fear, or any other hidden emotion in it-only love, compassion, and happiness. I smiled back as he wiped my tears away, then threw my arms back around his thin, yet muscular waist. "I love you too, Tsukai." I whispered back into his ear.
Suddenly, everything became completly still and quiet. All that was heard was the gentle swaying sound of the surrounding trees. A loud and deep voice was soon heard, breaking the peaceful silence.
"AHEM! We have all gathered around here at this moment becuase of a monster that has been liveing among us all in secret for some time now. Rin-eco Suki-A half breed..half vamp, and also half werewolf. You shall be imediately executed, along with your boyfriend, from keeping this a secret, and your mother, for loveing a werewolf, giveing birth to you, and also keeping this a secret for these past 17 years."
The crowd went into an uproar. Me and Tsukai held tighter to eachother. We both knew, that even if we happened to be seperated, that our hearts would still stay one. We would soon see eachother in the next life; if there was one. Everything would be ok.
Footsteps were then soon heard aproaching us, making me glance over in curiousity.
A guy walked up to us both, dressed in pure black with bright crimson red eyes that seemed to glow like ruby's in the darkness, along with a crooked smirk. It was hard to look away from his eyes; they were greatly intimedateing, filled with evil. He had a semi-large case in his hands, and opened it as he neared us. It was full of vacines. This vacine was especially made for vampires, and vampires only. It would imediatly kill them without pain, if given the full injection. This vacine was only for those who commited a crime that they should be killed for- and apparently I was a crime just liveing. There was another object, layed vertically in the case, wrapped in a deep red velvet cloth, with a unique design embroardered into it with raven black thread.
I nuzzled my head more into Tsukai's stone cold chest, wondering what it was. Our village leader then soon walked up to us. I could feel Tsukai's muscles tenceing as he held on tightly to me. I suddenly felt different hands wrap around me, rough and cold hands, our town leaders hands. Tsukai and I held on to eachother for as long as we possibly could, but were soon separated, and guarded.
I stared at him as he stared back at me. Tears ran down my cheeks and my heart pounded rapidly. I knew there was nothing that we could do.
This was the end..the end of my life, my mothers life, and my loves life, and there was nothing at all that I could do to prevent it. I thought as my hands were being tied, and a metal collar was was placed around my neck, then hooked to the nearest tree. I felt like an innocent pet, that was being blamed for something that wasnt its fault-In which I would be paying deeply for.
My mother was soon brought out into the middle of the large formed circle of people. She was held by a very intimidateing, and muscular guard, as my boyfriend was also.
"These vamps stand in front of us for the rules that they have broken, and the evil they have commited, by letting this monster walk upon us everyday. They will now pay greatly for this-they shall pay with their lives." The leader announced, making the crowd go into another uproar.
The guy with the vacines then approached my mother, who gave me a sorrowful and guilty look, then looked down at the ground. I began to feel my heart sink down deeper, along with a knot forming in my stomach. It was beggining to get hard to breath as I tried to calm myself. The guard held on to her tightly, as the vacine was then given to her. Her body trembled slightly, then went limp as her crystal looking blue eyes began to close on me. The guard then put his hand over her heart, nodding his head that she was now dead. She was then dropped onto the ground, and left there like she was nothing.
I continued sobbing silently to myself, haveing no control over my enotions anymore, and stared into my boyfriends eyes looking for comfort. He gave me one last brave smile, and mouthed that he loved me. His smile began to fade as the man with the vacines began to near him. He looked back at me, tears starting to glaze over his eyes too.
Many emotions rushed through me right then-fear, sadness, and a lot of anger. I closed my eyes, feeling an unknown power arise in my heart.
No...I wasnt about to let them do this to Tsukai. I wouldnt let them take away what mattered to me most. I wouldnt let them take away my whole world. I could feel my anger rageing more by the second, and I began to pull forward, without even realizeing it. Without any struggle, the rope around my hands snapped like it had been rotted, and the metal collar that had been placed around my neck broke in half. I had no clue what had happened just then-but I was very greatful that it had.
I then lunged towards Tsukai, the crowd going into an uproar once more. But I was too late.
I tackled the guy with the vacine to the ground, grasping his neck, feeling it pulsate quickly beneath my hands. A low furious growl emerged from deep in my throat, my fangs bearing completly as I looked down at the murderer. I felt as if I had no control at all. I was ready to rip him into shreads at any moment. I looked down at him in his eyes, seeing almost complete fear, but also some respect. I released my hands from his neck, hearing a horrible weak cry next to me. Tsukai lay on the ground trembling slightly, with his eyes tightly closed. That was another stab in my heart. I imediately jumped up from the ground, grabbing Tsukai around the waist, and extended my wings, lifting off into the night sky, and away from all the people, chaos, and all my old memories.
I had never once felt that kind of power and strength in me before, nor that kind of firey rage. I held Tsukai close to me, hearing a weak, pained moan from him again. I knew right then that he hadnt received the full injection-and was definitly in pain. He opened his eyes, looking at me affectionately, and tried to fource another one of his cute crooked smiles to comfort me. Tears filmed over his eyes. He knew that he was dieing, and that it was too late. I knew that as well, but I didnt feel ready to give up hope quite yet.
I continued looking down at him, seeing his eyes close tightly, as he let out another cry of pain. It was obvious that he was trying to stay alive for me, for us. I tried my hardest to ignore the sadness in me, but I couldnt.
Tears poured from my eyes, as I started sobbing, and couldnt seem to stop. I continued trying to fly, but noticed myself decreaseing more and more. By then I could feel exhaustion come to me, and it was beginning to become much harder to hold onto Tsukai.
I could sence that no one was, or had been following us for my long fifteen minutes of flying. They probably figured that I wouldnt come back, and that Tsukai would already be dead soon, just like my mother. So what would it matter? I could only hear my heart pounding rapidly in my chest now, and began to have complications breatheing. My body trembled as I coninued pushing myself to continue flying, but I knew I wouldnt be able to keep it up.
My wings suddenly stopped, with me seeming to have no control. Exhaustion had finally taken over.
All I could feel was the cool air rushing around me. It felt calming and peaceful to me. I still held Tsukai losely to me as I fell from the great height.
It suddenly came to me that I was pretty much commiting suicide by not even trying to fly. I opened my eyes, which seemed to put my whole body into shock. The ground was nearing very quickly, and the tree's were just below my feet. I extended my wings again, making a great burst of air surround me. I then pushed up with all the left over strength that I could muster. I began to increase slightly, but decided it would be best to go in for a landing now.
So I began to decresase again, but this time much more slowly till I came to a gentle stop. My legs gave out as soon as my feet made contact with the ground, and I collapsed to my knee's, still holding on to Tsukai.
I looked down at him, his deep red, almost black eyes partly open and staring back at me sadly. I layed him on the ground, flat on his back, and rested my head gently on his cold chest. He continued to stare at me, and gave me a tiny smile again. I smiled back slightly, breathing heavily. I was completly out of strength now, and knew that I would be staying here for the night with my dieing boyfriend. I ran my hand over his soft pale face, which still was somewhat warm, and brushed his light silver bangs out of his face, reveiling both of his shineing eyes.
Looking down at him, I could see that he wouldnt be with me much longer. He was struggling. I kissed him gently on his lips, and told him that I loved him once more, then rested my head back on his chest, and closed my eyes. "I.. love you too..Rin.." He mumbled back, his voice raspy and very quiet. A small smile formed over my face, but tears filled my eyes and ran down my cheeks. My heart was starting to disinagrate in my chest. I felt as though I wasnt breathing anymore, and didnt really care to. My eyes burned as I continued crying, not being able to stop myself. I felt like I was dieing too, only emotionally. I suddenly felt Tsukai's warm hand rest on my back, trying to comfort me. I smiled once more, then clutched on to his shirt tighter, and burried my head into it. I continued crying, till everything seemed to leave me, and I fell asleep.
CHAPTER 2
The next morning I was awaken by bright sunlight that had eskaped from the canopy of leaves above us. I sat up, rubbing my eyes, and began thinking of what happened yesterday.
Tsukai!
I opened my eyes completely, seeing a blured vision of his pallid body laying on the ground just like I had left him. Tears filled my eyes once more. I was already prepared for this the night before, but it hadnt hit me as hard till then. I sat beside him, and looked down. He was completly white, not an ounce of color left in his skin. His face looked like porcelin. His eyes were both closed, like he was only takeing a peaceful little nap. Tears fell from my eyes on to his face, and ran down it. I felt lost, and completly dead inside now. My heart was pounding, although it felt more like it stopped. I moved my hand towards his face, gently running it across it, then pulled away, beggining to tremble. I then put my hand over his heart, hesitateing to do this too, because I already knew the answer.
I waited a moment.
nothing.
I pressed my hand down harder on his chest.
nothing.
"Come on! damn it!" I cursed under my breath between sobs, and began pushing harder. "Come on..." I shrieked, as more tears ran down my cheeks. Nothing happened, and I felt myself giveing up. I was dead now. I had nothing. My world was actually gone.
I stared at him, feeling my heart disinigrate into dust, along with my whole life, and world as reality drilled into my heart harder. I looked down at his still, peaceful face again, and kissed his cold blueish lips once more. I staggered as I stood up, and looked down at him then around me with compleetly blurred vision from my tears.
Now what? I thought to myself, taking a couple steps forward, then collapsed to the ground again. My mind was completly fogged. I felt dead in a way. Like there was no more reasons for liveing now. I didnt know what I could possibly do now. I was completly alone.
I didnt try to get up this time. I just layed there, sobbing, till everything in my mind dissapeared, and turned to darkness. I had cried myself to sleep.
When I awoke this time, only a clouded sky hovered above me. I stood up, not looking back at Tsukai's dead body, and trying my very hardest not to think about it. I then began to walk foward, even though I had no clue to where I was heading off to. I just knew that I had to leave, leave these memories behind me, and get far away from here as possible.
I continued walking for what seemed to be long strained hours. I had still not recovered from my exhaustion by then, so the walk wasnt exactly the easiest thing. I had left out at probably 4pm, and stopped early the next morning at dawn, sending bright yellow, red, and orange beams down on the land. A new day had arrived, leaveing behind yesterday, the day that I had lost everyone I was ever close to. I stood in my tracks, watching it and closed my eyes as the light hit me. This did not bother me, as it somewhat did with vampires. Many things about vampires that humans ever made up were only myths. Being a half breed, I could withstand things that many couldnt. Being a half breed gave me many new ability's and strengths. But being more powerful, was not at all worth everything that happened, and everything that I had lost just the night before. I sat on the ground beneath a tall oak tree, which seemed to strech for miles into the multi-colored sky. I yawned, and leaned back against the tree, closeing my eyes. I should stop here for the day. I thought, beginning to be relaxed. I soon fell right asleep, helping me recover a little.
"Hey..is there somone over there Medoka?"
"Huh?..kinda looks that way. I wonder what she is doing there."
"Sleeping it looks like.."
"Well, i know that! Im just saying..I wonder where she has came from..she looks so tired and weak..."
I opened my eyes slightly, to the dim beam of a lantern shown dimly on my face, with 2 small figures standing behind it. I sat up straight, and rubbed my eyes to get them adjusted to the darkness of the night.
"Oh! she has awaken!"
"yep, yep...why do you always say the obvious..it isnt needed. You know that dont you?!"
"yup! I just do it to aggrivate you cuz i know it gets to you!"
-smack!-
"Hey!! ouch..what was that for?! Im gonna tell mama!!!"
I stared at the 2 figures for a moment and tilted my head. "Uhhm..hello.." I said quietly, attracting there attention.
"Oh, oh!! sorry miss."
"yes, we apologize. uhhmm..if you dont mind me asking, where have you came from?"
I didnt answer for a moment. trying to think of something to say.
"I was just taking a walk..and I guess got lost."
"Oh, ok then. Well, our village is up ahead if you would like to come. Our family owns a hotel, Im sure you could stay there."
"Yea..would be much more comfotable then sleeping out here."
I stood up with a smile. "Ok, sure."
As I walked up to them I noticed that they were children, werewolf children, probably around the ages of 10 or 11. I hadnt been able to see this before, since my vision hadnt adjusted and they were at a distance.
Vamps and werewolfs didnt get along at all, and would usually try killing eachother. I stopped in my tracks. The 2 children also stopped. "What is wrong?"
They both asked at the same time.
They both were identical twin girls. They had slick raven black hair, and gleaming blue eyes that seemed to glow in the darkness like bright saphires. One was wearing a sky blue dress, and the other a blood red.
"Nothing,I just..dont have any money or anything. Besides..wouldnt I..sorta stick out?" I mumbled.
"Tis ok..they wont care."
"yea, our hotel doesnt cost money to stay at. and..why would you stick out? Your a werewolf..just like the rest of us."
"Yep...except..you do look kinda different..with the tattoo's and the white hair and everything."
I stared at them both, speechless.
why am I still in this form?! the full moon is over with! I asked in my head, lost in confusion.
"Uhmm...ok then. I guess one night wont hurt."
I smiled at them and we continued walking.
"Our village is just up this hill."
"Yep, and the hotel is the first building-"
"On the right."
I smiled. "Ok thank you. and also, what your your names?"
"I am Medoka!" The girl in the sky blue dress said.
"And I am Kia."
I smiled again. "Ok. So your sure your parents dont mind me staying without paying any money?"
"Yep, our hotel is free to any traveling guests."
"Yep, people like you! that are traveling!" Kia glared at Medoka
"There you go again! always stateing the obvious!"
"Hehehe"
I laughed quietly as they bickered, then looked at the hotel as we approached it.
The building resembled a logg cabin in a way. It was pretty good sized, and looked like a nice, suitable place to stay for a night or two.
The twins both opened the door together, and held it open for me as I walked into the lobby.
The lobby looked bigger than it had on the outside. The ceiling reached up to a high point, holding a grand shandeleer at the top, which lit up the room nicely.
A fireplace was crackling in the corner of the room, and surrounded by a couch and a couple large comfy looking chair. The walls had that same Logg cabin look as the outside, and the floors were covered in a mint green tile.
After studing the room for a moment, I followed the twins to the front desk, where they were talking with their mother.
"Hello there. Your here to stay a night then, as my daughters have said?"
"yea, I will leave out probably tomorrow evening. I need to get caught up on some sleep and uhh..figure out where my village is. "
God I sound like an idiot...lost my village..yes..why couldnt I have came up with something a little better than that?!
Her blue eyes gleamed back at me as she smiled, grabbing a room key, her shoulder length hair covering some of her flawless face.
"Ok then." She smiled, and handed me a room key."Your room is the 6th door down that hall." She said, pointing to her left, to a hallway lit by another, but smaller shandeleer.
"Thank you." I answered, and headed off towards it.
The door creaked loudly as I pushed it open. The rooms were very nice and neat, but simple. It had one bed, a desk, a few lights, a night stand, a small dresser, and a bathroom/shower.
I walked over to the bed, and layed down beneath the blankets, hugging the pillow next to me.
I couldnt help but think about Tsukai as I tried falling asleep. He had never left my mind since then, and I knew he never would. He meant more than anything to me, and I truly, deeply loved him. I felt tears fill my eyes again, and tried to think about something else; but that was impossible for me to do. I had gotten him into that mess, and it had costed him his life, and also my mothers. To me it seemed like I had killed 2 people just from my stupid little mistake.
and now what..I was stuck in this werewolf form?! why?
I thought on that for a while.
I wonder if its because of that weird surge of power that I had?
I thought to myself. Yes..that might be it. Im sure I shall go back to normal soon.
But tomorrow, I should figure out a way to get some money for food, and new clothes and stuff. If I end up going into a human village, I cant have them seeing me like this. I thought, hugging the pillow tightly, which made my thoughts drift back to Tsukai. I wonder if there is a way, to bring him back from the dead.
I smiled. Being with Tsukai sounded better than ever right then. But there was no possible way for me to see his loveing face, or hear his soothing voice again. He was gone. My eyes slowly closed as I thought about being with him again, in his secure warm arms with no worries or fear. I thought, making my mind drift off, and every worry and thought dissapear, except for my thoughts about Tsukai, I then fell asleep.
CHAPTER 3
That night couldnt of had went much worse for me.
I awoke about every 20 minutes, and couldnt seem to get comfortable. My thoughts would not drift away from what had hapened those few nights ago for nothing. At about 3:30am, I decided to give up. I had to get out of there, and to keep moveing.
I knew that it would be a horrible idea, since I was still exhausted from physical and mental stress. My mind seemed to be in a huge mess that would take all of eternity to untangle. Oh how lucky I was, because as far as I knew, I would have all eternity to do just that.
I had to come up with a simple plan, just to get myself moveing again.
But what could I do?
nothing.
There was no place for me to go, or that I would belong to. I highly doubted that I would be able to find another person who was willing to accept me at all like Tsukai had. Besides, I didnt think I wanted to. The only guy that I would ever want and love would always, and forever be Tsukai.
I had gotten lucky that I found him.
He was the only one that I had ever found that held the same veiw as I.
but if there was anyone at all, even close to him, I needed to find them. I did need someone who I could lean on, who could be my crutch for now, till my heart healed up a little. I needed some help, and someone to talk to. I needed a friend.
I just had to find someone to help me, and quickly. I wouldnt be able to handle this much longer. I had no one beside me. I was completly alone.
I had sat up in bed, and studied the pitch black room for a moment till my nocternal sences kicked in.
After I could see more clearly, I got out of bed, and began paceing the room, trying to decide what I should do.
Get out of here.
That was as far as I could think of.
But then what? Where would I go from there...
Just keep walking around till I stumbled into another adventure-that would hopefully not cost anyones lives this time?
I walked over by the window, and pushed the red silk curtains to the side, and looked out the window.
I could see everything from the window. This hotel happened to be on a very large hill that looked down at the town, and land beyond it. I followed the dimly glowing town with my eyes till I reached the end. After I would get out of this town, I would have another many miles of forest to go through. I didnt know where the nearest village from here was located, but I knew I just had to keep moveing.
I looked up at the moon, which gave off a pale glow, and began thinking more.
What exactly was I running from? Why did something keep urgeing me to keep moveing. That feeling..I couldnt shake it. It was like I was being led into something, but what, and how? I decided that I just had to keep following that instinct. I was sure it would eventually lead me to something, atleast..I hoped it would.
I then shut the curtains again, and sat on the side of the bed, stareing at an alarm clock that glowed in red, and said 4:15am.
I was wide awake now. But there was nothing for me to do. I could get an early start, and begin my long walk. But no. I had to get some food, and supplies before then. Who knew how long it would take to get to the next town?
I continued stareing at the clock, and its blinking crimson red numbers. red. I suddenly got a craveing. One that I hadnt had in a very long time. I rarely got this, and had only bitten someone once at the age of 13. I had a specific craveing for blood.
Now you are probably wondering why I wouldnt have a normal craveing for blood, like regular vampires, and also werewolfs at times. Or why I could travel in sunlight. Also, the vampires not haveing a reflection is just another stupid myth that humans had came up with long ago. Well, Like I had said before, I was much different than either of those species.
I was my very own.
I licked my lips. I could almost taste it.
The craveing just wouldnt leave my mind.
I closed my eyes, thinking more about Tsukai, but those thoughts had only drifted back to my gigantic craveing that kept advanceing.
Tsuaki was the first one that I had ever bitten- and it had been an accident.
I had been resting, or pretty much burried my head into his warm arm, and gave him a big smile, at the same time he had moved, and my tooth gently grazed across his flesh, cutting it open.
I had stared at the glistning, pure red blood for a moment, then looked over at Tsukai, who gave me a smile.
I glanced back over at his bleeding arm again, and something seemed to click in my mind. My mouth began to water, and I couldnt resist it.
I licked his arm, the salty and metalic flavor sinking into my taste budds. I couldnt seem to get enough.
More blood arised from his flesh, and I continued to drink till it stopped.
I had craved more after that, but was able to shake that desire off.
From then on, every once in a while I had a small craveing for it, but I would always be able to shake it off.
This time was different.
I could almost taste it. My mouth began to water. I had to find some.
But this town only held werewolfs- in which I didnt want to direct any attention on myself.
I walked into the bathroom, stareing into the mirror.
I was in shock.
I had turned back into my vampire form now, but I had changed.
More exotic turquise tattoo's covered my body now, and my eyes had both turned compleetly silver. The blue highlights in my bangs had turned from a bright turquise to a very pale blue color. I extended my black bat wings, and continued to stare at myself.
This..is me? I thought studying my reflection.
What was this new form?
Was it from my craveing of blood?
blood...yes. I had to find some.
and soon.
CHAPTER 4
Besides this craveing, I had another different feeling. I looked down at my trembling hands. I was beggining to feel weaker and weaker now.
I thought that I had been exhausted already, but now my strength seemed to be depleting more by the minute.
What was I to do?
Not only did I have the problem of needing blood, and by the looks of it quickly, but I also had another problem.
Being in my vamp form, I couldnt exactly walk around town. I would be found out about.
The only thing I could do now, was exactly what I didnt want to do at the time.
Get out of there.
I didnt have a choice now. It was either head out now, or get found out in the morning when I had to leave. Not to mention my craveing that wouldnt leave. Most likely, if I didnt get blood soon, I wouldnt make it.
I was unsure if anyone was at the front desk, so I knew that would be a bad idea to take a normal way out of the hotel.
I unlocked the door, and left the room key on the small table by my bed.
Walking over to the window again, and opening it, I stared at my reflection again.
One of my eyes was now a bright scarlet color, and the other one still silver. My skin began getting paler, almost a complete snow white color now, the same as my hair. I caressed my fingers over the cresent moon in the middle of my forehead with a frown. The moon had turned down wards, and not turning to the left now as it usually did. The moon was also a deep charcoal color.
I could tell my blood lust was raiseing-and quickly.
What was happening to me?
I continued stareing at my new reflection, and hesitantly opened the window, stareing back up at the peaceful moon that suddenly dissapeared behind a black cloud.
The deep black sky that the stars and moon had floated in was beggining to become covered up by a thick layer of dreary clouds.
Red heat lightning suddenly lit them up, making them glow blood red, and spidered down to the earth in a distance.
red.
That color again.
I had to get blood, imediately.
I then hopped out the window, on to the roof, and stared up at the overcast night sky for another moment.
Rain started to fall. A nice cold rain, that soon picked up into a complete down pour.
It wasnt good to fly in storms either.
But I had no choice.
I ran off the roof, and extended my wings, lifting up higher into the air, and up near the clouds.
I couldnt go to close to them, and kept aware of the lightning that kept lighting the black night up.
I flew as fast as I could through the midnight sky, studying it for an sign of a near glowing town, or house.
But nothing.
I clenched my teeth tightly, and tried to focus on something else,
but that was beggining to become difficult.
I flew down lower, now that I was out of sight of the werewolf village, and studied down at the tree's for a warm glow, hopeing there might be a lonesome house somewhere hidden in the canopy of trees.
This time I was lucky.
Not to far ahead of me, I seen a tiny flicker of light below the dense forest.
I smiled, and dived towards it, landing gently on the roof the house. I looked down.
This house was like a mansion. It stood tall, and very old, like it had been there for generations. I looked nervously at my feet, wondering if the roof would disinigrate beneath me at any moment. I walked lightly across the roof, and sat on the edge of it. There was a belcony not to far below me, with a dim lit candle flickering in the darkness, casting light across the deck. So that is the light I spotted. I thought, and dropped down onto the belcony, looking around me quietly. Everything was completly still, but I had an odd feeling that I was being watched.
I looked behind me at a slideing glass door, my eyes picking a quick movement of a shadow.
I smiled, and clenched my teeth tighter. I could already smell blood, and lots of it.
walking over to the door, and opening it, I peared inside at the darkness.
I then stepped in and looked around me puzzled. Whoever lived here wasnt very fond of the light apparently. I caressed my fingers gently along the dust caked wall as I walked through the deserted looking mansion.
I still felt as if I was still being watched, so I decided to follow that sence, and hoped that it would lead me to the mysterious subject who lived here.
My nocernal sences had already kicked in, so I could see completly clear in the darkness now. The house was a complete wreck, and had a spooky vibe to it, which I kind of liked. In a way it made me feel at home.
I suddenly stopped in my tracks, and closed my eyes, sniffing the musty air. There was human flesh and blood very near..but, it didnt seem fresh. I continued to walk, following that smell, and jumped in shock at the image that was ahead of me.
I could hear my heart pounding as I walked closer.
In front of me there happened to be atleast a hundred decaying human corpses.
I stepped back in disgust, from the disturbing sight, and smell.
I could feel myself drawing back breath in surprise, chills suddenly ran up my spine, and my heart pounded even more rapidly. Someone was right behind me.
I slowly began to turn, seeing a blur of a person dissapear. I jumped, turning back towards the rotting mortals quickly, and suddenly seeing the figure again. But this time face to face.
I flinched, and about fell over backwards, him quickly catching me in his arms, and looking down at me with his crooked smile.
"You know..you really shouldnt be exploreing peoples houses when your not invited."
He said calmly, giveing me an evil like, but cute grin.
I stared at him, studying every small detail of the unfamilualr face in front of me.
One of his eyes was a pale, ocean blue color, and the other snow white.
His hair was also white, like mine, but had more of a silver tint to it. It stretched down to his shoulders, and was spikey in a way. I looked at him, as if in a trance. His skin was snow white, and his fangs glowed in the still darkness. I knew right away that he was a vampire.
He then lifted me up, and pinned me hard against the wall. I still continued to stare at him, more in shock than being afraid. I knew for sure that there were no vampire villages near here, and began to wonder if he was an outcast like me.
He stared me back in the eyes, sending more chills down my spine.
Yes..there was definetly something different about this vampire.
"So..what ya here for miss?" He said quietly, and still smileing, showing off his pearl colored fangs.
"..Just..looking for a little snack." I replied, and smiled back slightly, also showing off my fangs.
His smile turned to a frown, and he studied me more.
The figure suddenly grabbed my hand, and pulled me down the hallway of the old mansion, towards the door.
Pushing me outside, and getting a better look at me, his face lit up with shock.
"Thought I was another human to feed on?" I asked.
There was no response for a moment, as he continued studying my every detail.
"Your not a normal vamp, are you?"
"..Nope.." I mumbled.
He smiled. "Good..cuz' neither am I." Said the vamp, then walked up to me, pushing me against the railing of the balcony.
"But why are you all the way out here. I havent had a visitor in quite some time now. Well, sometimes I'll happen to get a curious young human thats dared to come in here..and never ends up returning to his their stupid little friends." He said with another smile.
"So....you are different also?" I asked, being kind of surprised. He hadnt seemed any different from the vamps I had grown up with.
"yes.." He said, then paused, looking me deeply into the eyes, as if he could see right through me.
I was stunned when I figured out that was exactly what he was trying to do.
"Your mind has an unbeleivably strong barrier." He muttered, and finally blinked.
"So what are you?!" I asked impatiently.
"..Why do you want to know so badly? I really dont like looking back into my past..."
"I am just curious.." I continued to edge him on into telling me.
"Fine." He confirmed, then hesitated for a few seconds. "I was born in a town very far north of here. Well..let me just say, that its not there anymore. I have a dark side to me, and had been picked on throughout my child hood. I was an outcast to everyone in that damned village."
"I know what thats like.." I mumbled, interupting him.
He gave me a look of curiousity, then went on telling his story. "So..I killed everyone, leaveing the village in flames, and walking away from it with a huge smile. You see, I may look like a regular vampire..but I am not..not at all. I am quarter vampire,a quarter werewolf, a quarter dark angel, and a quarter sourceror." He said frowning, and looking me in the eyes, like he was hopeing I would understand.
A smile formed over my face.
Had I finally found someone who seen my veiw on life? But..was he able to be trusted?
"I understand how you feel.." I said quietly, looking back at him.
He rans his fingers gently over the cresent moon on my forehead. "yes..I see that you are not normal either." He said with a kind smile. "So now..what are you?"
"I am..." I hesitated. He seemed like he would be trusting, even though he happened to be a murderer. "I am half werewolf, and half vamp. I turn half werewolf during a full moon, but I am in an odd form at the moment." I stopped, remembering my blood lust. "I was an outcast to my village too...and ended up getting my mother and...and my boyfriend killed from my own stupidity." Tears started to fill my eyes, as a picture of Tsukai with his brave and careing smile flashed in my head.
The vampire looked at me with sincere eyes. "Ah..that must've been hard. How long have you been traveling miss?"
"Just a couple days.." I mumbled.
He backed away from me, giveing me some space now.
"Heh.."
"What..?"
"Are you craveing blood?" He smiled.
Looking at him with shock, I nodded my head.
The vampire smiled again, and grasped my hand tightly. "Come on in then." He said, then pulled me towards the mansion door again. I hesitantly followed him as he jerked impatiently on my arm.
I then walked with him through the mansion, walking down many lonley hallways, and a long spiral staircase, which led downstares to an old fashioned like kitchen.
I was rather fond of places like this, likeing the spooky and olden day touch it gave off.
"Here, have a seat." He said politely pulling out a chair for me.
I sat down and looked curiously around the kitchen, seeing a freezer, and many cubboards. Before I knew it, I had a goblet filled with crimson, thick looking red liquid in it.
I smiled.
Blood.
I grinned happily at him, as he sit at the other end of the long and large table, also haveing a glass. "Thank you." I mumbled to him, grabbing the glass, and took a sip.
It hadnt took me long to finnish that glass, which satisfied my craving. I smiled again at him, and licked my lips. "Thank you-...Uhmm..what is your name sir?"
"My name is Yoru. and you are welcome miss-?"
"I am Rineco Suki. But you may call me Rin for short."
"Well, It is a pleasure to meet you miss Rin." He said with a smile, then stood up, after finnishing his last sip of the red liquid. I stood up also, and walked over to the skink, putting the glass in it gently.
"So miss Rin..where you planning on going off to now?"
"Uhhmm.." I paused, and yawned, covering my mouth. "Uhm..I guess get to the next town, and find a place to stay for a couple nights so I can gain some strength back."
Yoru smiled, looking in my eyes. "You can stay here if you want. I dont mind. I could use some company here anyways."
"Well...are you sure? I dont want to impose or anything."
"Well, you already broke into my house. So what would it matter?" He laughed. "But no, I would love if you would stay."
I thought about it for a moment.
He seemed nice, but maybe..a little too nice. Was that just an act, or was he really acting like himself? If he was acting like himself..then he was like a vampire prince. He reminded me somewhat of Tsukai, with his politeness, and sincere smiles. Yes..he seemed safe. "well..sure then. Thank you." I replied with a grin.
Yoru smiled, and took my hand again. "I shall show you your room then."
After leading me out of the kitchen, we followed a hallway past the long spiral stair case, and into the family room, in which old antique furniture was placed out with perfectly white sheets covering them. Turning a left, we headed down another lonley hallway, which soon came to an end. There were 4 doors on each side of this hallway, in which Yoru lead me into the last door on the left side of the hall, and stopped in front of it.
"Just so you know, my room is the one right next to yours, so If you need anything, just knock." He said with a smile, and opened the door, which creaked loudly. He walked into the room, takeing a match from his pocket, and lit a candle.
The walls were a nice silver color, not showing the dust in the unused room. Spider webs hung from the dark corners of the black ceiling, giveing the room that spooky vibe that I liked. A bed was placed in the middle of the room, backed against a wall, and covered with a soft, baby blue silk blanket and covered with snow white pillows. The floor was covered with a tight nit black carpet, but seemed to be clean. A small desk was set across from the comfy looking queen sized bed, which also had a pale blue dresser next to it.
"This is nice!" I said with a cheerful smile.
"Good, good. I am glad you like it. Well, I am going to head off to bed now. Oh! and I almost forgot! He moved a small frame which held a painting of a midnight sky, exposeing a small black button. He pushed the button, making a secret passage in the middle of the room.
I walked towards it. "What is down there?"
He walked ahead of me with the candle and led me down into the mysterious passage way.
It had been a small room, cleaned neatly, but very plain. In the corner of this room, held a silver coffin, with turquise unique designs on it, and a black crescent moon in the middle. I stared at it.
"This is...the designs..they.." I looked over at Yoru, and caressed my fingers over the crescent moon on my forehead.
"Yes..they have your same designs."
"But..why?"
He smiled myseriously. "I dont know...Maybe you shall find out for yourself one day now, wont you."
I looked at him with a glare. "I know you know why this is here! Tell me!"
He smiled again and turned his back on me. "Now now, no need to get all angry miss Rin. You will find out some day."
I stared at him as he walked back up the stareway to the room, then back at the coffin.
"Why..why does he have this. Why does it have my exact tattoo designs?" I mumbled to myself, and kneeled my the coffin, observeing it closely.
"Rineco Suki" was engraved in fancy writing on the side.
"This..belongs to me?" I sat on the floor, beside it and ran my fingers gently over it, brushing away the thick layer of dust that was cakeed on it.
I then decided to lift the cover up.
A very clean silk pale blue blanket was layed inside the coffin, with a couple silver silk pillows layed in the head part of it.
I hadnt slept in a coffin since I left home, and had missed it.
I sat inside of it, then blew out the flickering candle on the floor next to the coffin, then layed down, and closed the cover.
Everything was completly pitch black, and peaceful. I closed my eyes, enjoying the comfort of the some how related coffin, and drifted off into a heavy sleep.
