The following list of lingo is relevant to an RP. The RP is entitled Sol Chronicles and is heavily based off of my science fiction universe.

Cag: Captain of Air Group, this officer is the commanding officer of a group of fighter pilots. They are always the rank of Captain, and are always the first into combat and the last out.
C.I.C.: Combat Information Center, also known as the C.D. or Command Deck is the location of a frigate or battle cruiser’s main control center, everything from movement to communications to Forward Turret Control is located here, it is the heart and mind of a war ship.
Bingo: Low, for example “We are on Bingo Fuel.”
Roger: A way to respond to a message over the com network.
Wilco: See Roger.
Code Alphabet:
A--->Alpha
B--->Bravo
C--->Charlie
D--->Delta
Callsign: A nickname which all personnel are known by, it is either chosen by themselves, or assigned by a superior officer. For instance a Cag has a new pilot, one who has just gotten out of basic training and believes he/she is God, this pilot’s attitude begins to get on the Cag’s nerves and so, they assign them the callsign of Hotshot. Be careful, for this kind of name will stick with a soldier for their entire career.
Nugget: A new pilot or other soldier fresh out of Basic, the Marine equivalent of this normally affectionate name is Greenhorn.
C.O.: Commanding Officer
X.O.: Executive Officer. When a C.O. is wounded or otherwise unable to perform their immediate deck duties, the call of “X.O. [name] has the [ship name]’s deck.” goes out across the fleet. When the C.O. returns to active duty this call is given “X.O. [name] stands relieved.”
‘The Barn’: A term which pilots generally call their home carrier or cruiser. Here is a transmission example, “[Callsign] is at Bingo fuel, returning to The Barn.”
Actual: The on duty commander of a warship as they address themselves over in fleet communications, for instance, “This is Yggdrasil Actual...”
Mosquito: An ironic code name for a nuclear warhead.
Bulkhead: A name given to any fortified door or barrier on a warship.
T.P.D. Gun: Tachyon Pulse Decelerator Gun, a unique weapon of mass destruction employed on only the largest of human warships. By gathering in all Tachyon particles within a certain range and then focusing and expelling them towards the enemy, it can catastrophic damage to multiple close knit targets.
A.U.S.: Alliance of United Systems, the chief human government.
A.U.S.M.: Alliance of United Systems Marine.
A.U.S.S.: Alliance of United Systems Ship.
Jet Jockeys: Soldier’s slang for pilots
Hairy Knuckles: Soldier’s slang for mechanics and engineers
Stim Suckers: Soldier’s slang for medics
Slave Drivers: Soldier’s slang for the command staff ((The C.O., X.O. etc.))
Gun Totters: Soldier’s slang for Marines and security personnel
