In most stories, love is usually found through a series of stubborn acts or romantic gestures but none are quite as unique as the story you are about to read. This peculiar love story is one of mischief, clumsiness, teleporting and a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
"Possibilities. So many choices," Paige muttered in annoyance as she chewed on her bottom lip viewing over the different poses and stances she could use from a How-To-Draw-Manga sketchbook. They all looked so new and helpful for the many images she wanted to draw but it almost seemed impossible to do all of them. And, unfortunately for the preoccupied girl, she had to turn that same book into the library today.
In frustration with the continuous options, she picked out her favorite sketches, traced them over with a pencil and a couple sheets of lined paper, and closed the book. She then grabbed her keys off a hook near the front door and left to return her books before the library closed.
Upon arriving, she dashed in, sliding around the corner over the tile floor to the check-out desk, nearly running into an old lady with a walker, and renewed her book for another 3 weeks only five minutes before closing time. She sighed in relief and headed towards the entrance once more to exit and head back home.
But something unexpected happened… Just as she touched the pull handle of the large double doors to leave, the library environment changed instantaneously in that of a large hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Not too far away, on the other side of the country in Arizona, Shadowzeon was writing his elaborate stories of whatever it was he enjoyed writing about. He was concentrating hard; focusing on it with everything he had in his ginormous mind. Letters formed into words, which formed into sentences and into paragraphs faster than he could move his pen over the paper on which he wrote. New creations kept on coming to him like a flood of rushing water breaking through an old dam.
Today was a good day for Shadowzeon. It had been some time since he had experienced such a glorious wave of creativity and he loved every minute of it. As soon as he finished one story, he quickly moved onto a new one.
After some time, the once rushing creativity slowed down to a mere trickle and left him feeling blank in the middle of one of his stories. Struggling to find words so that he might finish, he decided to call it quits for the day and try again tomorrow. Picking up his papers, he straightened then into a neat pile and set them aside, resting his pen on top of them crossways.
As Shadowzeon stood up and pushed his chair gently under the desk, he blinked only for a nano-second and saw a strange-looking, mountainous countryside. He turned around and looked with wide eyes and a blank expression at a beautiful hotel.
Inside Paige was panicking and flailing her arms wildly, running around like a chicken with its head cut off. The book flew out of her hand and clonked on of the customer service workers in the forehead.
Growling with irritation, the man yelled, "Hey! Watch it and calm down!"
Hearing a commotion going on inside, Shadowzeon looked at the front door and walked towards it. He opened them to see the strangest thing. A crazy blonde was running around as if she were being chased by a herd of rabid moose.
Paige, not looking where she was running, slammed into Shadowzeon and knocked both of them over out the door. Unfortunately, today was not their lucky day as they had so hoped it would be. The customer service worker came fuming out, swearing up a storm.
Before either knew what was happening, Paige was being chased down the hill on which the hotel stood by the man who was now forming a funky-shaped bruise in the middle of his forehead. Since Paige wasn't exactly the most coordinated person on the planet, she happened to trip over a randomly placed box of Krispy Kreme, rolling down the hill from then on as well as sending a doughnut or two hitting the man smack in the face.
