Just as I was starting to lose hope of ever seeing the Portuguese dub of Saint Seiya again (it's so BAD, it's GOOD! ;_; ), the Animax tv channel started showing it!

*gasp!*
Awesomeness!
So far, so good.

So I waited anxiously week after week (and laughed as I rediscovered all of the old jokes the dubbers mischieviously slipped in there) for the time when I could see my old anime-dad (yup) Aiolia again. Oh, the chills! Maybe it's because it's the version I first heard when I was little, but NONE of the other versions I found online can compare to his PT voice. It's just perfect... it's... HIM.

And show up he did - gloriously - in episode 16.
So far, we're still good.

Then he disappeared, as per the storyline, and I was back to waiting... waiting... waiting for the one episode where Aiolia's backstory is mentioned... where there's a flashback of kiddy-Aiolia and his dead big brother... (Aiolos is a hottie too... bit of an idiot for saving Saori/Athena, hehe, but hottie.)

I think I should go back in time a bit, to talk about what happened the last time Saint Seiya was on tv:
THEY SKIPPED THAT EPISODE. scream

So, back to the present... I suffered through some of the worst episodes, waited for Saori to be done getting stupidly kidnapped by CROWS WITH ROPES ( rolleyes ), hoping that this once I'd be able to see Aiolia's grand episode and...

THEY REPLACED IT WITH FREAKING SHIRIYU FIGHTING OKKO!!!

Why... oh, why...? crying
