In 2008 and 2009 I was in my high school's literary magazine called "Calliope." Most of the stuff I submitted was my best work ever so I thought I'd just post it for anyone interested to look at.
From 2008:
^ This one made the cover for the 08 edition. I was so happy that it was chosen. The instructor named it "Modern Muse" and gave it a description about being modern inspiration different and similar to the muses of ancient times. xd Really, I just wanted to draw a pretty girl in a tough looking outfit.
^This wasn't an entry but I thought it was worth mentioning as it's the picture that I'm most proud of drawing. It's that because I made it as a gift for a very awesome teacher Mrs. Dupuis. She loved Wicked and she got me into Wicked so I made it for her. She loved it and she even has it hanging in her classroom. blaugh
^This picture of Elphaba from Wicked didn't make it in the magazine. But I still like it.
From 2009:
^I made this for the 09 poster that the instructor asked for but was too lazy to actually POST. xp It was annoying because I printed 20 copies. stressed My dad might be mad at the teacher if he knew.
Anyway... this one's nice I based it off of Eris from Greek mythology with her golden apple. Very pretty. 3nodding
^ I actually did this in fine arts class for a project in 08 but submitted it in 09. I for one didn't like it too much, the girl's tail size disturbs me. Anyhow, it made it in the magazine (a fact I loath since my better stuff didn't stressed ) and was titled "Now You Don't have to Choose" cause I said it was based on "The Lady or the Tiger" short story. Very cheese-y I know but, eh.
^This one made it in too. It's titled "Rose Red" and was based off of the story book character in Grimm Fairytales's Zenescope issue featuring the story. I made it really close to the outfit Rose wore in the story.
^Based on a character I made. I LOVED this picture and it was one of my best! Unfortunately it didn't make it in the magazine.
^this didn't get in, I based this on Theresa from Class of the Titans. I think it looked good and a lot of my friends liked it.
^Another one of my favorites that didn't make it in. I really liked this outfit and the pose. I really like it in color so I posted it here out of grayscale.
I loved this one too. The shirt the hair and the pose were really cute.
Well that's pretty much it tell me what you think.
